I’m a Good Witch…for the most part

We’re sharing supernatural versions of our Sim-selves over on The Sims Daily, and I thought I might as well share here, too!

This is Jeneva Morphew, and her house is called — what else? — Morphew House. You can download just Jeneva, Jeneva + Morphew House, or just Morphew House by itself. Options are good.

Here’s Jeneva, playing with magic:

Moonlight Falls

She’s slimmer than my usual Sim-self because I figure a witch knows where to find a steady supply of “Lean and Mean” elixirs. :D

And here’s her house…it’s a simple farmhouse built in the style of most of the other Moonlight Falls domiciles. And…it’s pink.

Kahale House for Download

A couple of people on The Sims Daily asked if I was thinking of sharing my version of the Kahale House in Sunlit Tides, and I thought, why not? It’s CC free, after all.

However, I DID use stuff from pretty much all of the EPs and SPs, with the exception of Katy Perry’s Sweet Treats, because I don’t have that one. So if you don’t have all the EPs/SPs, you’ll probably be missing some items. You will also of course need the Gold Edition of Sunlit Tides, as I made liberal use of all the plants and furniture.

Another important thing: I am fully patched to 1.38 (the Supernatural patch), so if you’re not patched, you may have problems installing this lot.

If you meet all of the requirements and would like to download the house, then read on! :)

Batsheba’s Victorian Mansion for Lucky Palms

Hi all! *dusts off blog* It’s been a looooong time since I’ve posted here, but I’m still having a blast with my Sims. I’ve been working on good old Mt. Geneva, which is now on an edited version of the Sunset Valley map, and plan on posting about it here soon. I’m building lots and adding Sims — some of whom may be familiar to those of you who followed this blog in the past (including Fran…I miss writing Fran stories!).

I also plan creating an index of my Sims and lots, so expect a lot of pic spammage here SOON! And I might post some of my Lucky Palms gameplay…that’s such a lovely world. (I know, I can’t believe I’m saying that about an EA world!)

In the meantime, I thought I’d post the Victorian Mansion I made for Batsheba over on The Sims Daily. Her request for a remote, slightly faded Victorian mansion/ranch was totally inspiring, and I loved trying to create a certain mood and feel for this lot. Anyway, you’ll need Lucky Palms if you want the landscaping to look the same, but otherwise it uses stuff from all EPs, a few store items, and two bits of custom content. More details below…enjoy!

Two Starter Cottages: The Durwin & The Hamilton

Hey all! Thanks for all your comments on my last post! I’m sorry for not responding right away — I’m still posting like a mad fiend over at The Sims Daily and seem to have a bit of tunnel vision in that regard. I would really like to get back to blogging, but I’m so darned rusty, I feel like a creaky old Simbot. I’m populating Johnnywr’s world Great Bear, though, and am making plans for telling stories and whatnot, so maybe I can get back into the swing of things… (Yeah, I don’t blame you for not holding your breath on that one. ;-P)

In the meantime, I made a couple of starter cottages for ani_ and thought maybe others could get some use out of them, too. At §18,192, the Durwin is more expensive than your usual starter, but I managed to get The Hamilton to be under §16,500. Woot! They’re in an English-cottage style since that is what ani_ requested when I offered to make her some houses.

Comfy Cabin & Holiday Haven

Hi all! I may have mentioned a few posts back that I was working on some lots for Rflong7’s Winter Wonderland world…well, that world has been released! You can read more about it and download it from the Sims 3 Community Forum. I haven’t gone in to check yet, but I believe my two lots are at 200 and 210 Cookie Court.

I’ve also made these homes available for download here. They were transported to larger lots in Riverview (30 x 40) and re-landscaped just a smidge to look appropriate in non-winter weather. Both houses are on the small side but with plenty of room to expand. I had a very specific look in mind for them and wanted to keep the proportions right, so that’s why they’re tiny. I also didn’t want them to get too expensive, so they’re decorated very simply. However, you will need at least World Adventures and Ambitions. I don’t think I put any Late Night stuff in there, but I’m not 100% sure. Also, I decorated for Christmas, so if you want that stuff to show up, you will need the two free sets from the Sims 3 store: Happy Holiday Presents (stockings, garland, wreath, gift) and More Holiday Presents (tree). Otherwise, they are free of custom content and ready for you to enjoy! More pictures of each home can be found after the jump.

The Pomeroy

The Pomeroy is a house I built for the “Challenge me to build 2.0” thread at the Living Sims forum. I enjoyed the challenge immensely and decided to put the house up for download. One caveat: it requires several CC items for the exterior, since I was trying to make it look like the original drawing that sebausten gave me. However, the interior consists only of base game items and patterns (hopefully nothing from Ambitions or WA slipped in!). At the end of this post I’ve listed the CC you will want to download if you want the exterior of the house to look like it does in the pics.

The Pomeroy

This Florida-style house was built on 4 Bayside Drive in Awesim’s Redcliffs, so it looks best there, but it should be fine on any lot that is 35×45 or larger. The lot is much bigger than it needs to be for the size of the house, but I guess that just gives you some extra room for expanding, building a garage, or adding a pool. The cost is around §60,000 furnished.

The roof is a bit wonky and has some odd gaps — it’s the only way I could think of to make it look like the picture. However, you can only see the gaps when the roof is up and you’re looking from the right angle. It doesn’t affect the view from inside.

The Beverly

I’m still on a bit of a midcentury kick, so I built a house based on a vintage 1956 house plan. I couldn’t do the windows just right, and I put a smaller fireplace in to save space, but I did try to match the crazy exterior color scheme. It is available for download from Mod the Sims:

Hope you enjoy this little blast from the past!

The Charles

Hey all. I’m still having a blast building and decorating in TS3. Although I really wish there were more options for wall hangings…and deco items…and windows… (I was sooo spoiled by all of the awesome custom content for TS2! Weren’t we all?) Anyhoo, this was a house I built for a happily single Sim who was going to be the narrator for my attempt at a story. Unfortunately her family got messed up and I’ll have to re-create them. In the meantime, I decided to just finish her house and make it available for upload.

It was inspired by a real-life house in my hometown, so it’s a bit on the small side. There’s not even room for a double bed upstairs! So it’s perfect for a lifelong bachelor or bachelorette. Or you could put another single bed in the “office” area and have roomies. You could also expand the area by the easel and make a master bedroom. The possibilities are endless.

The house reminds me of those old craftsman-style cottages, so I decorated it in that style, too. More pics after the jump!
