Hey everyone! I hate to start this way every time, but…remember me? You might not recognize me now that I’ve aged a bit, but I’m Tennyson Ravelo, the fourth generation heir to the Ravelo Legacy (man, I love the sound of that…it’s good to be the king! I mean, uh, heir).
Anyway, I wanted to tell you all about the highly interesting day I had today, but I think I need to back up a bit first — you know, reacquaint you with my family and stuff.
Over at the SimScribes forum, we’re having a picture-taking contest. The basic idea is to take a snapshot of your Sims doing some fall-related activity such as celebrating Halloween or playing in the autumn leaves. The deadline is November 8th, after which we’ll take a poll to decide the winner. Well, now that you’ve seen what the Baz and his fam are up to, it’s back to Burr Cottage, where 2nd gen heir Belinda is plotting to take over the world with her daisy bouquets.
Belinda: What on earth do you mean? I’m only spitting out flowers by the cartload because YOU thought we should start a family business.
Jen: There’s no “should†about it, Belindy. It’s in the rules. “You gain 1 point for every generation the ‘Family Business’ is a level 10 business.â€
Belinda: Oh ho ho! So it’s completely optional. You won’t lose the challenge if we don’t start a business…
Jen: But I won’t get any points for it, either. And I’m all about the points. So get cracking on those crazy daisies!

Good evening, dears! Maude here with a very special announcement. First off, I want to thank those of you who entered the Scavenger Hunt competition and sent me scurrying off to view all of those lovely and highly amusing pictures. What a wonderful way to pass the time! You certainly killed my boredom, and for that, I am extremely grateful.
And now, for the competition part, I’ve drawn two names out of my somewhat tattered cloche hat…would you like to know who they are? Is the suspense driving you mad? Not yet? Shall I wait a few minutes, then? Oh, very well then, I’ll tell you now… (but you must click on the link below; I’m not going to make it THAT easy!)

Here’s the other house I built over the weekend while dog-sitting for my bro. It didn’t make it to the Exchange for some reason (my upload must have timed out), so I have it available for download in a ZIP file from my own site. As with Porch View, it was created with the base game only and is totally hack-free. This house has one bedroom and two bathrooms, but the second bathroom could be converted into a small bedroom or nursery. It costs §84,993.

I was dog-sitting for my brother all weekend and had major Sims 2 withdrawal, so I installed the base game on his computer and built a couple of houses. This first one is your basic starter with one bedroom, 1 bathroom, and the essentials such as telephone, fire alarm, and bookcase. It costs §19,963 (I don’t know why the Exchange says it has zero value). This house is base-game only with no custom content. It is completely clean and hack-free.
