Grunewald Estate: Home of the Ravelos

Hey, all you crazy Simmers. Sorry I’ve been away for so long. My brain was crunching away on what to do about those darned Ravelos. But I’m back on track now, and happy to report that I’ve transported them safely to Shady Bluff, so hopefully no more crashing problems. *crosses fingers, toes, and eyeballs*

Here’s what I did, if you’re interested in the details: I moved the Ravelos out of Grunewald Estate and onto an empty lot. I packaged up that lot and installed it on my Shady Bluff account. I did the same with the Grunewald lot, now devoid of the family and whatever custom content might have been making it crash. Of course, story-wise, the Ravelos are still in Weatherby, so I’ll have to ask you guys to just pretend they’re not in Shady Bluff yet. That’s right. These aren’t the droids you’re looking for.

In the meantime, I had to refurnish Grunewald since I’m still using it for Ravelo pictures. So I figured I might as well fill it with mostly Maxis content and put it up for download! This offering comes with a warning, however: Grunewald was crashing when it was in Weatherby, but I’m pretty sure that was either because of the Ravelos being buggy or some conflict with custom content on the lot. It’s clean now, so it should be fine, but I just wanted you to know. Please do let me know if you have any problems with it.

There are three windows from MTS2 that I used, but otherwise everything is Maxis content. The windows are NOT included in the file so you will have to download them separately. I’ve listed the links at the end of this post.

I took a ton of pictures, so you can think of this as a little tour as well. Aaaand…we’re off!

Autumn with the Ravelos

Hey everyone! I hate to start this way every time, but…remember me? You might not recognize me now that I’ve aged a bit, but I’m Tennyson Ravelo, the fourth generation heir to the Ravelo Legacy (man, I love the sound of that…it’s good to be the king! I mean, uh, heir).

Ravelo Family

Anyway, I wanted to tell you all about the highly interesting day I had today, but I think I need to back up a bit first — you know, reacquaint you with my family and stuff.

Misty’s Mistake

Hello again! Do you guys remember me? I’m the Ravelo kid that talked your ear off last time about what my family’s been up to.

Ravelo Family

My name is Tennyson, by the way, and I’m a 4th generation Ravelo. I’ll probably be the heir to the Ravelo legacy someday, but not until I graduate from college, and that’s far far faaaar away. Really far. Like, centuries from now. I’ll be an old man by then. And really, what’s the rush? I’m having a good time being a kid.

Catch-Up Time

Good morning, ladies and gentlemen! I’m Tennyson Ravelo, and I’m here to catch you up on what’s been going on with my family.

Ravelo Family

First off, you’re probably wondering who I am. Well, I’m a fourth generation Ravelo, the son of Anastacia and Ravi. You might remember my mom –

The Fate of Third Generation

From the desk of Trent Ravelo

Hey girls! It’s your old dad here. Thought I’d drop you a note and see how you’re doing at ALT. How is old Professor Tasselhoff? Is she still giving pop quizzes at 6:00 AM on a Saturday? Man, I hated that. Not that I went to class much…er…anyway, your mom and I are enjoying our second week of vacation in Newland Harbor, which is the most scenic little town you can imagine. That’s a little play on words there, you know, because we shot half of She Sells Seashells in Newland Harbor and had to build most of the town from scratch. So it’s not a town so much as a really solidly constructed movie set. Get it now? Scenic? Movie scenes? Hahaha…haha…oh, never mind. Your old pop’s past his prime as far as crafting a decent joke goes.

At last I still have my looks! What a handsome devil, eh? (What do you mean I’m conceited? Bah!) Here’s me in front of the lighthouse in Newland Harbor:

Fire, Mist, and Phantoms

Hey people, what’s up? I’m Misty Ravelo, and I’m here to tell you all about our sophomore year at Academie La Tour. I gotta say, it was really quite the year, full of heartache, drama, excitement, and of course, carpal tunnel syndrome from typing those ridiculously long term papers. I can’t believe I have to write eight more of those before I graduate! My wrists hurt just thinking about it.

Ravelo Family

There’s me, typing away. Check it out — I’m not in the dorm! Yep, we decided we were sick of living with dorky guys and moved into a little house off campus. This was also the year I decided I wanted to be a rock star, so I bought a guitar and glammed myself up and wore punk-ish clothes. Did it work? Hm.

Starcross’d Lovers

Hi everyone. I’m Kaela Ravelo, also known as “the middle sis”, “the shy one”, and, as my big sis Anastacia so affectionately calls me, “the green-eyed monster”. She only calls me that because my eyes are green, not because I’m jealous or anything. Like I would be jealous of my sisters — shyah!

I’m just kidding. I love my sisters to death, and being in the middle, I’m like the “bridge” between the two. I get along with both of them better than they get along with each other. But we’ve all gotten to be pretty close since we came to Académie La Tour. We just finished our freshman year, in fact, and all three of us made the honor roll. Pretty cool, huh?

Meet Kaela

Looking back, it seems like it was an easy year, but really…it wasn’t. Aside from the loads of homework, exams, and term papers, we had to deal with annoying dormmates and clueless boys (one particular guy happened to be both). And I had to conquer a little thing known as ‘stage fright’.
