    Oh, I know. I am so excited for Pets it’s insane. Part of the reason I’m not doing any more updates ’til it’s out is because I’m so excited I can hardly play for more than a few minutes without thinking about how much cooler it will be once my simmies can have some furry (and feathered) friends hanging about. I already have spots set aside for food dishes, pet beds and such in my sims houses. XD

20. 6 days, yes’m! :D I can’t wait! *bounces* And the Prima Guide to Pets 2 is supposed to hit the stores (well, Gamestop at least) tomorrow!

    … I’m so going to use the cheat that lets you ignore the upper limit of number of Sims per household, too. I’ll breed my Sims *and* their dogs and cats! *shakes fist at sky*

21. Oh my gosh, I preordered my Prima Guide for Pets and I tracked the order and it already arrived in my post office! That means I’ll get it today! I’m so excited! I’ll totally give you guys a preview on teh dog/cat breeds, ect.

    (Oh, Jen, I can get an early start on deciding what kind of pet to get!)

22. I’m surprised I don’t have Pets fever. I mean, I’m looking forward to it (Werewolves! Animals I’m not allergic to! Pet training! PICTURE OPPORTUNITIES, MAN!), but my game takes a long time to load as it is, and after seeing the wave of bugginess that came with Open for Business, I just want to wait until sometime early next year to get it. (I waited about four months before getting Nightlife, and I still don’t have University or Open for Business. ^^; )
    It’ll be neat seeing what everyone else does with Pets, though– and I can’t wait to find out what the custom content creation community finds out they can do with the pets! (Personally, my money’s on “making collars that, while they are “attached” to the neck, they look like things like sunglasses, or boots, or ribbons or something. Then, I hope they can find out a way to make SUPER AWESOME PETS, like dragons. :D
    I totally want a pet dragon for my Sims. If a pet skin that made your pet look like a dragon was a preorder item, then I don’t give a spork about bugs and waiting and blah blah ’cause DRAGON! *heart* Oh, yes. Start a little weyr (or whatever the hey you call a dragon house) in my Sim’s backyards. Cat ladies would fade out of existence– no, they would be BURNINATED out of existence by the dragonladies’ dragons! No offense to cat ladies, or anything– everyone would just have a dragon. Every Sim. Dog or cat lover. It would be required by my game’s law. (Law #2 is “no, look over there when I want you to, dagnabbit, it’s for a picture.” That one is broken a lot. Law #3 is “don’t let kids get taken by the social worker.” That one has never been broken in my game. Seriously. o_O; I’ve never seen a social worker. Law #1 is “no jaywalking.” No comment.)
    But, there are no dragons yet, so here I am!

    Holy cats, that one Sim in that picture you posted a link to, Kay, looks incredibly like Basil. Down to the hair! Hey, do you think this means that they’ll end up putting that “we-took-it-out-of-OfB-you-guys-can’t-HANDLE-the-curly” hair in Pets? Maybe they’ll add the other one– the one that’s kind of full of body? Kind of wavy? Shoulder-length? Hard to describe it, I guess… but it always has a tendency to make my Sims look ~pretty~. (And ~witty~, and ~briiight~, how I pity, any girl who isn’t me ~toniiight~…)

I’ve been reading, but I just haven’t commented much. *shrug* I think I started to once or twice, but I had to get off of the computer before I finished writing it. ^^; I commented on the last entry, too, though! ^^b I really like the Burrs, by the way. Azalea’s first entry cracked me up– but I’m not sure if I commented on it.

23. Wow. First of all I just have to say that Blu is extremely funny…and extremely long winded! Hehehe that’s hilarious! Second of all…I am totally dying to get Pets in my greedy little hands! I cannot wait to make little puppies! I love puppies! I haven’t pre-ordered or anything yet, so I’m sure I’ll be a little bit behind those of you who did. But oh well…the anticipation makes it that much sweeter!

25. As much as I would love to get Pets, my “fever” isn’t as high (like Blu). I don’t download, (which means I don’t use hacks) so I’m waiting to see what kind of bugs Pets might have, first. I also have some questions about the other expansions that the official site’s forum can’t answer b/c it would take days to find what I’m looking for. Too overwhelming. I really do want Pets, but I’m just being cautious about it.

26. It’s probably a good idea to be cautious. I know myself, though, and I know that I’m highly impatient when it comes to Sims expansions. I always gotta get my grubby mitts on them ASAP. But I applaud you for being careful, Jadice.

    Blu, you are too much. Burninated cat ladies?? I hereby solemnly decree that if someone creates a fire-breathing dragon pet, Blu MUST download it and create a weyr and take pics and entertain us with stories of burninated cat ladies! Except don’t burn the cat lady I’m going to make, or I’ll cry.

27. Jadice, you win the Giant Cookie of.. Cookie-ness for being careful about your expansion packs. I could never have your patience. XD; Although I still haven’t got Family Fun Stuff or Glamour Pack, yet (I’m impatient, but a penny-pincher.. the price on those packs has either got to go down, or they need to cram more objects in there for those to be worth my money).

    I get excited for the expansion packs.. but my excitement for Pets has to be about 10 times higher than any of the others. I think the only way a future pack could top my excitement for Pets is if they include weather.. or introduce a ton of new stuff for kids and toddlers (who I think need more new interactions and such.. I love ’em!). I’ve been dying for Pets since day 1.. and now it’s almost here and looks 10 times better than anything I could have imagined. I can’t wait!

    I also second Jen’s decree for Blu to create a weyr and entertain us with stories of burninated cat ladies, should somsone create a dragon pet.

28. Psst, Audrey? The strongest rumor about the next expansion pack (the one scheduled for 2007) is that it will be either weather/seasons and/or farming. :D

    As far as CC for the pets themselves go, unfortunately Maxis apparently has no intention of making a Pets Bodyshop any time soon. That’ll make things trickier. Won’t stop the CC, but I’d wager it’ll be a while before people find a way around it. Pet CC might be as rare/hard to make as mod furniture rather than the millions of custom Sim clothes out there.

    I also didn’t try the scavenger hunt because of school and sports, but maybe the next one. I really do hope that Basil’s curly hair is in PETS, it looks awesome! I also didn’t preorder the guide or games, Best Buy is pretty good at keeping these things on the shelfs and I’ll probably get on Tuesday (ONE DAY BEFORE MY SIXTEENTH BIRTHDAY!) I know, it’s so cool!

    Anyway, congrats once again and I hope all of you gets PETS asap!
