Dear Mom & Dad,
Even though I saw you just last week (and I’ll be seeing a lot more of you now that I’m back in Rosebrook), I thought I’d write to you about our senior year at the Académie. Whenever I get together with you guys, there’s always a million other people around, so it’s hard for us to have a nice, long talk. I’m selfish that way, you know. The other kids may be used to sharing you, but I remember what it was like to be the only kid for awhile, and sometimes I really miss it! Writing this letter lets me tell you all the things that I wanted to tell you about but haven’t gotten the chance to yet.
I don’t know what Trent told you in his last letter, but I spent most of my junior year and part of my senior year in a rather pathetic state. I was so sick of seeing my little brothers going out with their girlfriends all the time while I stayed at home, bored silly.
I was truly happy for them — don’t get me wrong — but you know me, I’m a hopeless romantic. I wanted to be part of a couple, more than anything in the world. I wanted someone to take me out to dinner and propose to me, like Trent did with Tristen. If I couldn’t have that, I would have settled for a fun fling, like Ethan and Kaylynn had. But it just wasn’t happening, so I moped around the house feeling sorry for myself.
It got so bad that Trent FORCED me to go bowling with him one night. I’m serious — he grabbed my arm and dragged me to the car and said if I didn’t go bowling with him, he’d delete my term paper. So I went, and I actually had a good time…at first.
Trent and I are both terrible bowlers, so instead of trying to rack up the points, we just goof around. Trent’s a big klutz anyway, so when you combine it with his penchant for theatricality, it can be pretty hilarious.
Trent had invited a couple of his friends to stop by, so they joined us off and on. This guy named Renaud seemed really cute (and he was actually a decent bowler)…
…but when I tried to get to know him a little better, he looked at me like I was a freak. Maybe that’s because I did my “little green man from outer space” impression for him.

Aw, I hope Marlee finds someone perfect for her. That’s so funny about Professor Tellerman crushing on Trent! Is it easier for Sims to develop crushes on each other with Nightlife?

Isn’t it a relief when you finish university? Right now, I have three of my prosperity challenge kids at college and it is getting so tedious. (I’m actually a bit bored…lol!) Well, enough about that…I love Marlee’s character; I hope we get to see more of her and that she finds Mr. Right.
Marlee is sweet. I hope the right Sim for her turns up eventually!
You do a great job with keeping the uni bits interesting. I must agree with cpowell–I find putting my Sims through uni so tedious. My legacy heir has been stuck there for about two weeks now, because I play it for 10 minutes and can’t take it anymore!

I think if nothing else works for Marlee, she should buy herself some love potion. *sage nod* Then when it wears off, the guy will already have fallen for her! Muahahha.
Marlee deserves a fantastic Sim to sweep her off her feet. I like Marlee I hope she finds a love that will be her own.

:lol: WOW talk about a good update. The scenes were described so well and they went with the picture like a puzzle. Darnit! Your work is amazing. I so happy that you are participating in nanowrimo because that story that you wrote..i dont know when, was GREAT. The one about the woman and the man and the bottle of champagne. Haha even though you havent finished it, i was hooked. And i still think about it. Are you ever going to finish that story because it was great. More than great, fantastic, more than that..it was..AWESOME. hah. Anyway im gonna go and stop being a nuisance haha. Have fun this weekend! Dont wear yourself out!

What a lovely update! Marlee has such a nice personality – it’s a pity no one else seems to appreciate it. Ah well – I’m sure she’ll find true love eventually. All your kids are so good looking, especially with the lovely hairstyles you’ve got for them.

Great update Jen! I love all those kiddies. They are so quirky and crazy! I’m positive Marlee will find the man of her dreams. Oh and by the way, I’ve finally gotten the next “Running from a Forgotten Past” update up and ready! Check it out!

It’s great how you managed to get all of those kids through college, I wouldn’t have the stamina. Are you going to send the younger ones to college sometime too? Id like to see what they look like :)

Marlee is such a sweetie! I love the name generator site you use. I will have to use that for my legacy too if I’m stuck on names. Marlee’s name suits her so well.
All your sims look so beautiful with all their nice hairstyles and clothes. You have great taste. My sims, like yours, always grow into ugly clothes. I bet you could turn the ugliest sim into something nice. :p

Cady is still my favorite even though she is the mean one. I think I used the name Cady for a teen in one of my 1st families because I was currently obsessed with the movie Mean Girls. How ironic huh, Cady is the main character in Mean Girls and your Cady is mean….yeah I’ll stop rambling, lol.

Jen, I really wonder how you are able to take such great pictures – I’m delighted everytime :) – I think it was funny seeing Gary again, I do remember him dearly as he gave you your only Alien Baby with the Shanleys :) – he was a good guy after all, but Marlee’s right – it’s not the right one for her. I’d go with a red-head – don’t ask me why *g*.
But I’m really eager about seeing a gen 2 baby – finally! Honestly I believe the next update will feature a wedding *hope*!
And maybe a blond baby (I am so happy that Rhia is blond *lol* – after all those ‘blackheads’ :D)

I know this is late, but I was in Orlando for 10 days on vacation. Marlee is smart to wait for the right guy. I know he’s out there. And, more of Trent please. He’s boffo. Good luck with Nano. I’m going to try a hand (or two ) at it this year. Thanks for letting all of us know about it. :)
