Trent’s Tales of the Townhouse

Hey Mom and Pop,

You guys are pregnant AGAIN? Whoa. I guess you’re getting a lot of mileage out of that Love Tub. (Sorry, I couldn’t resist.) Seriously though, congratulations. I’m looking forward to another little brother or sister I can torment. :-D

Actually, I think they’re doing most of the tormenting — one of them in particular — and I’m sure you can guess which one. But more on that later. I first want to reassure you that the new batch of Ravelo freshmen arrived safe and sound at ALT. To welcome them, we took them out on the town, filled them with espresso and other questionable beverages, dropped them off at Baguette Hill and let them find their own way back to the townhouse. Cady and Arielle made it back OK — only a few scratches and some dehydration, but Darren passed out halfway down the hill and was carried off by pack of prairie dogs.

I’m kidding, of course — Ethan made hamburgers and we all had a nice little dinner, the kind where everyone tries to talk at once. There were no questionable beverages, prairie dogs, or dogs of any kind.

After that, everyone hit the books pretty hard, so we didn’t see each other much for awhile. Marlee, Ethan, and I have learned from experience that it’s best to get the evil term paper out of the way as early as possible and do our homework on a daily basis instead of cramming at the last minute. This has left us free to gallivant around as much as want in the latter half of the semester, and gallivant we do. We shared this eternal wisdom with the freshmen, so they were able to gallivant, too.

But before all of that youthful frolicking, we had to work our butts off. Literally, in my case. For my drama classes, it’s essential that I be in shape (no one wants a flabby, slouching Romeo, apparently), so I had to implement a strict exercise regimen. I can’t tell you how many sit-ups, push-ups, leg lifts, and jumping jacks I’ve done in the last year. In fact, I exercised so much, I neglected to shave, so now I look even scruffier than usual.

Ravelo Family

Darren is like the opposite of scruffy. I guess that would make him clean-cut. He’s a great kid but very tame and spends most of his time studying or reading.

Ravelo Family

I have a feeling, though, that one of these days he’ll surprise us and start dating a punk rock biker chick or something. Yes, I believe Darren has hidden depths. I like to give him a hard time about it.

“Darren,” I say, “you’re like a stick of dynamite that nobody knows is lit. They hang around you, thinking you’re harmless, but one of these days…BAM!”

Ravelo Family

He just smiles nervously and walks as far away from me as possible. Not that I can blame him.

Then there’s Cady. Cady is the dynamite that’s already going BAM, blinding light and sparks and shrapnel flying everywhere. You weren’t kidding when you said that girl had a temper.

When Darren left a TV dinner in the oven and accidentally set the kitchen on fire, Cady was the one who smelled the smoke and called the police. She’s very vigilant and efficient, and this is good.

Ravelo Family

But then she totally freaked at Darren afterwards, screaming her head off like some kind of banshee. I thought she was going to pop a blood vessel.

  1. Oh noes. Not Kaylynn again. Didn’t you use her for a baby machine in the last legacy? ;__; I think I like Trent’s girlfriend choice better.
I love how all the girls lack social life.
And I didn’t see Marlee in this one. xo Or is that just me?

  2. Yep, Kaylynn was in the Shanley Legacy, but she only had 5 kids. ;-) I don’t know if Ethan will marry her or not — he just really wanted to woohoo with someone, and he and Kaylynn clicked.

  3. Wow…Kaylynn. She’s definitely without a doubt my favorite NPC in the game. There’s just something about her that I love. Of course, she’s married into my Hampton family, and I’m really not looking forward to her passing…But oh well! :-) I, personally, think that Kaylynn would be a great addition to the Ravelo family, but of course I have alterior reasons. ;-) I love the letters, Jen! They’re a great way to update us (and the family) on what’s going on with their college life. It’s much more personal! Keep up the good work, Jen! I can’t wait for more!

  4. Awesome update! Heeee! :D
Something about Trent’s ‘voice’ reminds me of his father. Probably the playfulness. I like I like!
I still haven’t gotten around to updating my own blog. I haven’t really played much, though I do have a few projects. Maybe I should give the whole Legacy thing yet another go, hmmm.
    You’re an inspiration as always, ma’m. :)

  5. Pretty good, pretty good!!!
    Pretty you, pretty you!!! *lol*
(Sorry for that litlle, Jim Morrison thing).
I simply love it, great job, like always ;)

  6. I’m so happy you are updating so often. I’m in love with this family and all of the kids! They have such distint and intersesting personalities. Have you decided which one is going to be your legacy heir yet?

  7. I like Kaylin a lot, I had her in my first Legacy (and since number two sets in the same neighbourhood, she can’t come back). She makes very pretty children though, so I like her!!

  8. Fantastic I love how you are updating with the letter thing..very creative. Well it seems like the 2 older sons have NPC grilfriends so how are the girls dealing with all that kissing in the house

  9. Wow, this was a really full update! All the kids have different personalities, and that’s very cool. Great pictures too!

    Arian

  10. Oh wow that was so cool!!!! It’s great how you’re doing a letter from each kid, I love it!!!
Im so glad Ethan finally managed to get a girlfriend! He deserves one. Even if it is Kaylynn ;)

Cant wait to read more! Im loving this family!

  11. You started the laugh factory again with the pictures of Ethan and Kaylynn. My husband looked over at the computer and shouted “Get a Room!” I laughed because that was the caption I had just read. Then he said because they really were computer characters, that they should instead “get a rom!” My husband is a geek though, so it’s acceptable. Trent is such a good looking sim, I think he could make a great heir, but…I wonder what his and tristan’s children would look like? Maybe a really ugly family? I would hope not though. I ditto, ditto, ditto the responses to the letter style. I love it. Thanks again for another update so soon…. 8)

  12. Haha i laughed through this whole update and it took me FOREVER to finish it because i loved the way this was written. classicly wonderfull. I love it. I hate beng late reading your updates because then i feel underpriveledged.. isnt that sad? I dont know why. My mind just goes..what? Updated yesterday? You are underpriveladged. And then reading the update furthers this because i think everyone else has read it and im the only one who hasnt…its crazy. I love Trent and Ethan. they are so handsome. You picked some great genes this time around. And you captured Trent’s personality so well in this update. With his..hot date tweed jacket. haha.

  13. oh wow, that was funny!!! especially at the end when all you could see was ethan and kaylynn kissing… and kissing.. and kissing! :D

  14. I liked it a lot, and it made me chuckle – so great job, as always. Sorry if I’m so short today, but I gotta run ;) – oh, and I’m so sad, my game is constantly crashing and won’t work at all :( – view my blog for more, I’m totally upset, but oh well…
see you, and keeeeeeeeeep it up!

  15. Well, Ethan and Kaylynn really seem to like each other! I love Kaylynn – she’s one of my favourite NPCs. She’s been in so many families it’s not funny. By the way, I’ve started up a blog of my own – yes, another one, and I’ve just realised what hard work it is! I am looking forward to the next update from the lovely Marlee.
