That’s right, Ethan and the maid have hooked up. Big time. It all started the first day we hired her. Cady had been doing most of the cleaning, but we still needed someone to do the deeper cleaning and take care of things we forgot about, like old newspapers.
Well, as soon as Kaylynn saw Ethan, she went into raptures, like a kid opening a Christmas present.
Ethan was pretty nonchalant at first — I don’t think he was attracted to her right away. But they had a lot in common (they both like sports and active-type stuff that I’m really bad at), so a friendship blossomed. She seemed especially impressed that Ethan was on the swim team (he likes to show off a little bit).
Well, as the friendship progressed, Ethan started to like her as more than a friend. It was weird, actually — it was like a switch had been flipped inside his head. He went from hanging out with her like buddies to giving her backrubs and making googly eyes at her all in the space of a minute.
I’m probably exaggerating, but it did happen quickly. I don’t know what came over him. At any rate, he wanted to ask her out on a date, but he was all nervous about it and didn’t know what to do. Enter Trent, Master of the Hot Date! OK, so I’m not the master, but I’ve been on a few, so I gave him some advice and let him borrow some of my clothes. (His letter jacket was getting a little scuzzy — lots of mac and cheese stains.)
I only heard about the date secondhand, but it sounds like it was a roaring success. They kissed before they even went inside the restaurant. (It was Trent’s Hot Date Wonder Jacket, I’m tellin’ ya.)
Once inside the restaurant, they decided to forget the food and do some hot and heavy making out instead. (Sorry, Mom and Pop, is this too much information?)
The other patrons of the restaurant pretended they didn’t exist until some brave soul yelled, “GET A ROOM!” I guess Ethan wasn’t embarrassed at all — he just took Kaylynn by the hand and led her out to the car. Pretty smooth.
Naturally they came back to the townhouse. I had just sat down to work on my term paper when they walked in and started mauling each other five feet away. I wanted to shout, “Go, Ethan!”, but I decided to just let them be. He’d waited his whole life to have a girlfriend, and I didn’t want to ruin it.
Cady had no such reservations, though — she stalked through the room with a disgusted look on her face and said, “GET A ROOM!”
So they did.
The moral of this story? Never underestimate the power of a nice tweed jacket.
Well, I’ve gotta go to play practice — did I tell you I got the part of Romeo in the ALT production of Romeo and Juliet? Yep, I get to wear a costume and say dopey things like, “She speaks! O, speak again, bright angel!” Pretty cool, huh?
I didn’t get to all the stuff about Marlee, but maybe I’ll let her tell you about that. Farewell, dear parents…I shall see thee anon!

Yep, Kaylynn was in the Shanley Legacy, but she only had 5 kids. ;-) I don’t know if Ethan will marry her or not — he just really wanted to woohoo with someone, and he and Kaylynn clicked.

Wow…Kaylynn. She’s definitely without a doubt my favorite NPC in the game. There’s just something about her that I love. Of course, she’s married into my Hampton family, and I’m really not looking forward to her passing…But oh well! :-) I, personally, think that Kaylynn would be a great addition to the Ravelo family, but of course I have alterior reasons. ;-) I love the letters, Jen! They’re a great way to update us (and the family) on what’s going on with their college life. It’s much more personal! Keep up the good work, Jen! I can’t wait for more!

I still haven’t gotten around to updating my own blog. I haven’t really played much, though I do have a few projects. Maybe I should give the whole Legacy thing yet another go, hmmm.

I like Kaylin a lot, I had her in my first Legacy (and since number two sets in the same neighbourhood, she can’t come back). She makes very pretty children though, so I like her!!
Fantastic I love how you are updating with the letter thing..very creative. Well it seems like the 2 older sons have NPC grilfriends so how are the girls dealing with all that kissing in the house :lol:

You started the laugh factory again with the pictures of Ethan and Kaylynn. My husband looked over at the computer and shouted “Get a Room!” I laughed because that was the caption I had just read. Then he said because they really were computer characters, that they should instead “get a rom!” My husband is a geek though, so it’s acceptable. Trent is such a good looking sim, I think he could make a great heir, but…I wonder what his and tristan’s children would look like? Maybe a really ugly family? I would hope not though. I ditto, ditto, ditto the responses to the letter style. I love it. Thanks again for another update so soon…. 8)
Haha i laughed through this whole update and it took me FOREVER to finish it because i loved the way this was written. classicly wonderfull. I love it. I hate beng late reading your updates because then i feel underpriveledged..:lol: isnt that sad? I dont know why. My mind just goes..what? Updated yesterday? You are underpriveladged. And then reading the update furthers this because i think everyone else has read it and im the only one who hasnt…its crazy. I love Trent and Ethan. they are so handsome. Well, Ethan and Kaylynn really seem to like each other! I love Kaylynn – she’s one of my favourite NPCs. She’s been in so many families it’s not funny. By the way, I’ve started up a blog of my own – yes, another one, and I’ve just realised what hard work it is! I am looking forward to the next update from the lovely Marlee.
