Somewhere around that time little baby Kay grew into a child. I gave her the same hairstyle as Kaylynn, her grandmother, which looked fine until Owen brought Marsha Bruenig home from school one day. Eeep! It’s Kay’s doppelganger! Well, close enough. I think I’ll let Kay keep the hairstyle, though — she’ll be a teen soon enough, and then we won’t have to worry about her looking so much like Marsha.
Personality-wise, Kay is a clone of Patrick, so that was a little disappointing. Callum and Owen were the same way. Here Kay splashes around while Patrick attempts to fix the bathtub.
At least Patrick is a pretty good kid. It helps that he’s a Knowledge Sim, so he’s easy to keep in platinum. His parents wanted him to be an Overachiever, so I had him get a job as a Streethawker in the Criminal field. It wasn’t long before he worked his way up to the top of the teen career. I still need the criminal career reward object, so I’ll probably have him stick with a life of crime at least until I get that reward.
I have decided that Marie Mazza the Pizza Girl is going to be Patrick’s future wife. The first time she brought pizza, I couldn’t get anyone to tip her quickly enough, so she ran off. The second time I had Owen grab the pizza while Patrick stood by, ready to tip. He gave her §200 Simoleons, which put their relationship score at 9. Woo! She left after that, but I had him call her the next day and talk until they were up to 29. When he becomes an adult in a couple of days, I’ll have him invite her over and start the courting process.
The second night that Marie brought pizza, Taryn and Hugh showed up unexpectedly. No one had invited them over — Taryn just walked right into the house. I thought that was pretty cool. She used to live there, after all! While she was there, she helped take care of Dubrey (now a toddler), which allowed Fiona to rest (she was pregnant again, of course).
She was also there when Fiona gave birth to baby #7, another boy! His name is Heath (courtesy of Heather).
Fiona didn’t fear having a baby this time, so she was happy as a lark afterwards. She wanted to gain a skill point, however, so I let Robi take care of the kids while Fiona ran through the obstacle course to get another Body point.
Later that evening, Owen grew into a teenager. To me, he looks exactly like Patrick, although the eyebrows might be slightly different. I’ll have to examine that.
Well, with so many kids in the house having to do homework and whining about their low Fun levels, it reminds me of Uncle Liam’s! Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to switch over there, but I’m hoping to do an Uncle Liam update soon. I haven’t decided whether or not I want to have him drink elixir and stick around awhile longer or let him pass on to make room for more kids. Someone at the main house will have to move out soon, because we need to make room for generation 6!
Fiona will have her last baby soon, too, which will be nice — I can finally let her and Robi become elders. They’ve been downing a lot of the elixir lately. At any rate, I’ll be glad when things settle down at Shanley Manor.
I’m definitely going back to two kids per generation after this one! Especially now that I’ve seen how much alike all of the kids are — it makes having more than two children somewhat redundant. Out of the 7 kids Fiona has had (she adopted 2, so I’m not counting them), 6 of them have the exact same stats. And they all have the same skin tone, hair color, and eye color, and very similar faces. The only kid who has departed from this formula has been Zuzu, who was Patrick’s TWIN. It doesn’t make sense. Oh well!
It seems to me you’re doing great! How on earth can you handle so many ababies/toddler/children? I can barely handle two let alone 4+!

I was also really disappointed about Robi’s abduction, but at least it was fun seeing pictures of it. I love how he was holding onto the telescope for dear life with that expression on his face, LOL.
Oh oh I’m babysitting tonight and the girl got Sims 2 for Christmas!!! I told her it must be installed by the time I get there because I HAVE TO PLAY. Oh my God I’m so excited about this. LOL.

Wow, what a great update! It was well worth the long wait! I can’t believe that Robi wasn’t impregnated! Well it’s cool that Patrick is a Knowledge Sims so like you said, he’ll be happy to be abducted.

It’s amazing how Fiona can just keep popping them out like that, isn’t it? Well, I hope she has a girl next! Wow, Jen! you must’ve played for a while to get two babies in one update. It seem like fiona’s a baby machine! Whenever I see that want, I just automatically ignore it. After all, I can’t handle that many children!

Wow, baby number 6! And an alien abduction! Your family seems like such fun, even though I know it’s lots of work. The kids are so cute. You’re making me want to see one of my families with one. I assume since you were surprised about the aliens, you’re not using the hacked telescope? I downloaded it but I’m not currently running a storyline where I want to use it yet. I can’t wait to see an alien baby. hehe *crossing my fingers for ya*

Man I was really looking forward to an alien baby. Keep trying I’ll be waiting to see it^^ I had one of my Knowledge sims abducted by accident but he was only a teen so wasn’t able to become pregnant.
You’re getting very close to the 10 kids want. I’ve never tried that one before, maybe on G8 or so, I am far to anxious to get to the next generation each time, can’t even get myself to play the satelite houses…

I think it’s around 30,000 or something…what in the world do you do with all those points. :lol: Anyway, I love reading your updates they are always so entertaining.

Lauren, I wanted to answer your question about the telescope — I haven’t downloaded the telescope hack, so yeah, I was surprised at the abduction. We can’t use any hacks in the Legacy Challenge except for the no-cheer hack and the one that fixes the jump bug. I’m not using either of those and hope I won’t have to resort to them in the future! *crosses fingers*
*also looks at Fiona’s hand* She, like Robbi, has her wedding ring on the wrong finger! What ish wrong with that? lol
Jen, you can handle ten kids. If I can, you definitely can! But, of course, I adopted probably 7 of the 13 children that my Zapen family had. Good luck with it…and believe me, enjoy this time you have with all of the kids. I miss it when there were toddlers crawling around the house and children hugging their mother. *wipes away tear*
