More on Sims 2: University

OK, I’m starting to get really excited for this expansion pack. That’s not saying much, though, since they could release an expansion pack consisiting entirely of wallpapers and I’d be happy. Anyway, Snooty Sims has posted the latest letter from Tim LeTourneau, the Senior Producer for The Sims 2: University. The letter reveals very little information except for this little nugget: the Young Adult life stage will last 20 days. That’s a little shorter than I expected, since they originally said it would be about as long as the Adult life stage. It’ll still be weird, though, to have Sims at college aging more slowly than the ones at home. We’ll just have to play them disproportionately, I guess.

There are also two very interesting pictures at the end of the letter. It looks like we’ll be getting such objects as pennants, mini-fridges, a vanity table, a bulletin board, and a fountain. They mentioned some of those in the chat transcript, but it’s cool to see them anyway. And there’s a huge-looking column in the outdoors picture — could be one of the new multistory columns they’ve promised us. There are apparently new interactions being shown in that picture, too — some of the students are playing Hacky Sack while others sort of lounge in the grass, having a conversation. Looks cool!

  1. I heard the university lifespan is double the teen lifespan. It’s good to know it’s going to be 20 days. I wonder if the “aging off” cheat will work while they’re in the university.

I looked at the pics on Snooty Sims’ site and they’re playing hackeysack! How cool is that!

  2. hehe can’t wait for University to be out. That snapshot of the dorm rooms is cool… it’s gonna be weird havign controllable and con-controlable people living in the same place
