Hullo, folks! A few Real Life things (and at least one computer game which is not the Sims, I’m ashamed to say) have taken over my world lately, so I’m a little behind here. I am slowly working on a Fran update and have about five billion other things I want to work on as well. I’m always working on something, even if I’m quiet here. So stay tuned.
In the meantime, check out the SimScribes forum if you haven’t already, or if you haven’t visited in a long time. Devin is now a co-admin (huzzah!) and has been generating interesting discussion on some of the older threads. Also, we’re trying to spiff up the site, so if you have any suggestions, feel free to post them there! By the way, I am moderating registration over there to keep out spammers, so if you sign up for a membership, drop me an e-mail and let me know your username so I can approve you quickly. :-)

I too want to know what you’re playing. :D These days I’m partially distracted by RL (summer = a lot of hot days + house with no airconditioning = must.be.outside. Must. BREATHE.) and partially by Lord of the Rings online, so my updates are a bit slower too. ‘s all good.

The game I’m hooked on is Lord of the Rings Online (*waves to Kay*). LOTR is my favorite book of all time, so I’m horribly addicted to running around Middle-earth at the moment!

I can’t even get the LOTR game to load on my computer :( I was testing out some different games for awhile myself, and I swear it was frustrating! Some of them were lousy and others made the computer crash worse than the Sims does :(
!!! Really? :D Okay, we’re so hooking up. What server are you on? I’m on Landroval, chosen because it’s the unofficial roleplaying server = more of a mature less leet speechy crowd.
Devin – Ugh, that bites. :( Computers are so infuriating sometimes. I know I’ve wanted to throw mine out the window many a time. Maybe you need more memory or a new video card? (I’m sure you’ve pondered that already, but anyway)
Kay – I’m on Nimrodel with some other friends of mine, but it’d be fun to create on alt on Landroval and meet up with ya! I’d love to see what it’s like on the a more role-playing-ish server. BTW, I sent you an e-mail yesterday; lemme know if you didn’t get it!
It’s definitely not memory. I’ve got a gig and don’t know how I could possibly fit more into the machine lol
I’m pretty sure that it’s the video card, and we’re looking into trading in this computer for one with a better video card and sound card, because the sound’s a problem too! :P
I was thinking it might be LOTR, because my husband has been addicted to it for the last few weeks. ;)

hey i got seasons a few days ago, and ever since im been having computer problems. Today i even got a blue screen!! it’s never happened before, and im kinda scared to tell my dad cause it’s his computer, but anyone else get problems when they got sims 2 seasons???

Jess, have you tried the patch? There’s one available on the Sims 2 website.
Seasons does NOT like my spiffy brand new nvidia geforce 7600. Keeps crashing the driver. Only does it when I’m in playing mode, too, never while I’m building or in the neighborhood. (and yes, I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled the driver several times, even spent money on a registry cleaner.) blech.

hey can anyone tell me wat i should do as i have lost the serial code to the sims 2. I want to load it on a differet computer as i am on holiday and am not sure wot to do/.
My frends dont have the sims 2 so i dont know where to get a code from.

Hey Yaz, trying going here and click on ‘Serial number replacement’. You will then have to log in with your username and password, the ones you used when you registered your game. From there, they should give you instructions on how to get your code back. You can also try clicking on the ‘Contact Us’ button (but you will still have to log in).

ah, no i just went on it and put my password and name in then it came up and said i dont have permission to asses the page. or something like that. :( any other suggestions? im dieing to play!

Try and try again, yaz? Sounds like some kind of glitch. Otherwise, try contacting their customer support directly.
Yaz – You might have put in the wrong username or password. Try clicking on “Forgot your member name?” or “Forgot your password?” It’ll probably ask for your e-mail address (the one you used when you registered your game). If you didn’t register your game in the first place, you might have some trouble logging in.
hmmm. im pretty sure it was the right one as i copied it from my note pad. it doesn’t matter too much though as im going home in a couple ofdays.

That’s a bummer, yaz. You could try clicking on “Forgot your username” just to see what comes back. To contact their customer service, it looks like you have to log in first, so that doesn’t quite work if your log-in is the thing that’s broken. D’oh.
