Hey peeps, sorry for quietness lately. I had to take a break from my Sims just to clear my brain for a bit. It’s good to do something else once in awhile, right?
I did boot up the game briefly to check out the H&M Stuff pack stuff, though! My verdict? Not too shabby! I really like the clothes. And there are enough of them that I won’t run out of new outfits for my Sims anytime soon. Some people seem to have a built-in aversion to H&M stores, but since I’ve never set foot in one, nor had I heard of them until this stuff pack was announced, I’m cool with it.
And just for kicks, here’s a picture that falls under the category of “things you don’t see every day”. Also the category of “Sims are really dumb sometimes”:
For the record, she undressed herself and started splashing around in the rain. Didn’t Ricky Martin sing a song about that? Anyway, I had to laugh, because as she was walking back to her house, she was struck by lightning. I shouldn’t have found that so amusing, but I did. That’s what you get for playing in puddles during thunderstorms, you silly Sim!

Heck, I can’t complain too much since I’ve been slacking something incredible. :o I’m still slowly but surely grinding through remaking the houses, but that’s also all that I’m focusing on. I wanna get ’em done already! Rar. On the upside, the remakes should actually be something I’ll have use for in the future rather than just a bunch of buildings taking up space in my bin.
H&M (Hennes & Mauritz = ‘Hers & Mauritz-es’) is actually a swedish company. That’s what amuses me the most about the whole thing. XD I’m okay with their designs, though I wish we could’ve gotten more non-casual non-formal wear like the horribly neglected athletics category. Oh well.
I love the picture and the whole scenario. She seriously undressed herself?! Dude. XD Have you had any of those much talked about spontaneous combustions yet, i.e from makeouts/hot tubs/working out?

And I hear you on the taking a break from Sims for a bit thing. I’ve only started playing again the last day or so. My poor, poor blog is so neglected with updates. I’m pretty far behind on the Legacy’s (except for a brief tour I put up tonight of the new cemetery I made for ’em) that I’m just dreading trying to write the update.
Nice to hear about the stuff pack, too. I’m not a big fan of the stuff packs on principal (I’ll buy every EP they throw at me, but I just can’t make myself spend that much money on a stuff pack. They either need to cram ’em full of more stuff or lower the price), but it’s nice to see them being appreciated by others. :)

Hi. That sim does sound stupid!. I wish my sims would do that on their own I usually have to make them do silly things. like I once made a sim play with the spraying water octerpus thing in the snow!.

Phil, you are evil. Well, maybe in a funny way, but still evil. Honestly, don’t ask me why, because I’m not sure, but something about that comment seems evil.
I finally(!) got the H&M Stuff pack today. I haven’t installed it yet, but getting a closer look at the clothes etc makes it seem quite promising. I’m also very amused at the number of people over on the Sims2 site that apparently thought it’d include some kind of coded catwalk with automatic modelling or whatnot. XD
OK, so something similar happened with a random dormie (think townie, downtownie) that lived with one of my sim families. The dormie and another dormie were sitting in a love tub … in the middle of a thunderstorm. Well, one of them was struck by lightning, and they died. SERVES THEM RIGHT! Well, it freaked me out a bit, as I’ve never before seen a sim die in college, but I didn’t really care because it was an ugly sim that none of my sims were friends with.
