I Can See Clearly Now

Hey guys, generation 3 of the Burrs FINALLY graduated from college last night! I’m hoping to do an update on them tonight or tomorrow. I just wanted to share the wonderful news (well, it’s wonderful to me, anyway. I did a little dance in my chair last night). I don’t know why it took me three weeks to play them through University, but it was almost painful at times. It did get easier at the end — I rolled back to a much older driver for my Nvidia card and was able to play in triple-speed without getting the dreaded bluescreen/hourglass spin. The Burrs are going to be very busy bees what with their flower shop, preparation for Gen 4, and of course, their new furry friends. Heehee. Stay tuned!

Also, if you haven’t already, check out Mao’s Knock It Down stories. She’s taking a break from her wonderful ISBI challenge commentary and doing an urban fantasy/supernatural kind of story. It’s really awesome so far. Her characters are fascinating and her pictures are amazing!

Happy Simming!

  1. Yay Jen! Congrats to another successful round of Uni! It can get tiresome, but I’ve actually started to enjoy it. Although I’ve taken very few sims all the way through college. But I am actually looking forward to my next round at University! Crazy, huh? I can’t wait for your next Burr update…and Shady Bluff too!!

  2. I can’t wait for the next update on the Burrs! :-) I don’t personally handle my Sims’ University years well. My computer can’t take the triple speed. As it is normally my poor PC sounds like it’s going to explode whenever I play! The blue screen of death is no friend of mine either. Congrats on getting them all through College, though!

Mao’s “Knock It Down” stories are great. Her main character is super pretty and original looking and makes a great photo subject. What a great, refreshing story concept for a Sims blog!Great pictures, too, w/a very cool vibe to them.

Such a talented group of ladies in this blogging community! (I’m yet to read a guy’s Sim blog, so I hope I’m not offending anyone here.)With all of these great stories to read… who needs Barnes and Noble! :-)

  3. YAAAAAAAAAAAY!!! I SO agree with Willow!! I can’t wait for your update on Belinda’s daughter and her ways of romance….

  4. YAY! You have NO IDEA how happy I am to hear that!

I really want to see how everyone turned out and I am excited to see the next generation (because it’s been so long ^_^)

Oh, and the new furry friend, of course ;)

(I also hate the college years, usually my Sims don’t go through college, it’s seriously too painful…)

  5. I’m glad you got through the dreaded college years! I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t zoom through on 3X speed. The benefits of college are good, the actually playing through is torture.

  6. OMG, Jen! I about dropped over when I saw that link. Thanks for the pimping and the compliments. :) It makes editing a lot less “I want to assault random objects” and more “okay, this is only mildly aggravating.”

Can’t wait for the newest installment of the Burrs! Three weeks? My ISBI folks are still mid-way through. Let me know how it goes; I’ve got my fingers crossed. Here’s hoping you get through bug free! (and with an update ;))

  7. Woohoo! I’ve got such bad Burrs withdrawl, yay for their return! :D *dances* I can’t wait to see the dog(s?) you got them, too. Speaking of updates, I made a mini one on my site. Only three pics right now, but. :-)

  8. Yay! Congrats!

I’m currently in my third generation of my legacy family, which is the farthest I’ve ever carried one. Ever. It helps that the 2nd-generation heir owns a thriving clothing business; redressing the townies helps keep me occupied. Before long I think they will open up a hairdressing boutique as well–or maybe one of my spinoff legacies (whenever a non-heir reaches adult age, I move them back into the neighborhood on an empty largest lot and start a new legacy with them).

Although, in my Apocolyptia neighborhood (I’m playing the Apocolypse challenge), the founder, Danish, is still in college and I find myself hoping she won’t leave and not even minding most of the annoying things about college. How ’bout that?

  9. Evil evil woman! Now I’m clicking at Mao’s site twice a day, hoping hoping for an update ;) As if I needed any other websites to check obsessively

  10. U havent updated yet and its 2 days later, I have nothing to do since there are no new blogs,(i’ve read every single one!)well I do have homework but…

  11. Yay! University can be hard to play through if you’re not in the mood. BTW, another update at my site. I can’t wait to here about the Burrs again!
