Ginger: Did you guys even make it into the house? Or did you just make out on the front porch all night?
Ruby: Haha. Don’t you remember? We came in, and William the Bovine Bully was there. He said some not-very-nice things to me.
Ginger: He was pretty mean that night. I remember now. Spencer got so mad he left in a huff, and you and I had that long talk.
Ruby: Right. Because you were starting to like William. And I thought he was a jerk.
Ginger: Well, he was…sometimes. But I think most of the time he was just misunderstood. He’s not like most people, you know? He’s actually very deep once you get to know him. And almost…serene.
Ruby: Serene? I don’t know about that. He was always jumping around our living room.
Ginger: So he had a lot of school spirit! He was a mascot, you know.
Ruby: True. You really liked him, didn’t you?
Ginger: Yeah. I really did.
Ruby: Even though he caused your break-up with Ocean?
Ginger: Well, that was bound to happen eventually. Ocean had already been talking about going “on a break”. He was always staring at other girls. William just gave him a good reason to dump me altogether.
Ruby: But Ocean was a real jerk about it. He slapped you!
Ginger: Yeah, I’ll never forgive him for that. It was painful.
Ruby: Have you talked to Ocean since he moved out?
Ginger: Nope. I talk to William sometimes, though. Maybe when he graduates…
Ruby: Don’t tell me you’re going to marry a cow!
Ginger: You never know.
Ruby: Speaking of graduation, I suppose we should wrap this up.
Ginger: Go for it, Rube!
Ruby: Well, there’s not much more to say, except that we had a little graduation party at the end of our senior year, and our parents came over.
Ginger: And man, they looked old.
Ruby: Good, but old. I guess we’d better get started on that fourth generation before our hair turns white, too.
Ginger: That reminds me, which one of us is going to be the heir?
Ruby: You know, I have no idea. Why don’t we wait and see which one of us has the coolest kid?
Ginger: It’ll probably be you. Spencer has great genes.
Ruby: I don’t know if I’ll marry Spencer. He’s great, but…is he Legacy material?
Ginger: Do you love him? That’s what’s important. William is a weirdo cow mascot with a mean streak, but if we were in love, I wouldn’t think twice about marrying him.
Ruby: “If”, huh?
Ginger: Oh hush, you.
Ruby: Haha. Woops, we forgot to show our “all grown-up” pictures. Here’s me after becoming an adult.
Ginger: My, don’t you look sophisticated!
Ruby: Middle-aged is more like it.
Ginger: Pah. You look like you’re ready to take on the world. Whereas I look like I’m ready to take a nap.
Ruby: Nice jammies, cuz!
Ginger: Thanks.
Ruby: Well, see you all back at Niadon!
Ginger: Bye-bye!

Oh my JEN! What on earth… a SHANLEY update! You can’t imagine how happy you just made me ;). T’was wonderful, though I only scarcely remember the ‘old’ times ;). I did in fact play my legacy family a bit this weekend, because I hade some free time, imagine that! We have 6 kiddos in the house now, and Yorick has just grown up. Time to get fond of Maura! And Oona is a pretty little girl with an unbelievable 10(!!!) in neat. My first neat one! She though has only one niceness point. Very individual Morrigan! So – thanks for wirting about you infamous Shanleys, it was great, and see you soon! Oh, and btw, I am not updating my blog, but my tribal pages is constantly updates. Greets!

I’m seriously giddy about the Shanleys. They’re just such a goofy bunch. Your other stories get me all hooked on the cliffhanger endings and dram and mystery.. but the Shanleys make me giggle. But anyway! Wonderful update! Looks like Ruby and Ginger has a wonderful time at college. I’m looking forward to the next generation, y’hear? ;)

I ADORED this update and–myghod, Blu, you and I must be kindred spirits or something. I agree with everything you’ve said: Sheldon’s pretty. I like the style of the update. I love the hair. Etcetera.
On a different note… Just found out something awesome that I’ve gotta share. My mom’s friend’s sister works at EA and gets 10 free games a year but never wants them, so Bruce said that he’ll ask her to get me OfB! (And Uni Mac for a friend’s birthday gift.) I’m so happy, YIPPEE!!

As for Ruby & Ginger’s hairstyles, Ginger’s hat hairstyle is by Lola and can be found at The Sims Resource (the style is called “Claire”). I think Ruby’s first hairstyle is by Sunair and was available on the Sunair website, but it seems to be down at the moment (or is no longer up and running — Sunair does have some great hairstyles at TSR, though).
I’ll write up a post about my favorite sites for downloading clothes and hair, so stay tuned! And yay to Jess, for getting Nightlife, and to Keely, for maybe getting some free games! Woot!

Haha, ok. I forget these people. They tried to help me out by reminding me about the Zombie and Ruby making him one..but I’m still dumbfounded. Haha, I dont even know who these kinds are. I have a vague idea of who they are, but you know I always mess things up haha. Oh well, it will come to me eventually. Nevertheless, this was a great update. Filled with love and new stuff and growing up..twice. And dumping and slapping and everything that makes an update great.

YAY, it’s the Shanleys! :D I loved this update, especially the way you did it (the conversation between Ginger and Ruby).
I have heard rumors about OFB that I’m not sure are true and I was wondering if anyone could clear them up for me. According to a few members at TS2.com, OFB will contain pets. They believe this because the creators of TS2 have said that owning pets will not be a main ep and will slipped into another. They figure that since you can own businesses, you can own a pet shop, too. Anyone know if this statement is true?

I’m keeping my fingers crossed that pets will come with the next expansion pack. I heard that the last survey mentioned rideable horses and farm life and such.. I’d love for all of that to be rolled in with pets and more family-oriented things (ie: more interactions for kids/toddlers/elders, etc).

It didn’t let me finish…..I LOVED the one armed red head club! LOL! Because you guys are as sweet as pie here, I have another see-if-you-can-find-this kinda deal. I think you all know about the original barretted hair from maxis, but lately i have been seeing people in stories and such withe the barretted hair longer and twice as cute. Someone directed me to the mod the sims 2 site, but i have yet to find it! Will someone please help me!!!! I will be eternally grateful!!

simaddicts, this isn’t quite the same hair, but it’s similar: Fashion Barette Hair on MTS2. I’ll let you know if I come across anything else!
I’m working on several updates and not sure which one to post first, but I’ll have something for you guys very soon, I hope. The Shanleys seem to be the most in demand at the moment, so I plan on posting about them, at least, but I also want to get back to the Ravelos, Brayton-DeGroffs, and maybe even Maude’s Tales. I just need another 10-12 hours in my day. :-)
To answer Kay’s question, I definitely plan on buying Open For Business! Maxis totally owns me, you know. Pets would be cool, but I can wait for them — I actually got kind of tired of them in Unleashed. Crazy, I know. ;-) I’m sure they’ll be more fun in Sims 2 and hopefully won’t slow down the game too much.
Just thought I’d say hi and long time no see people! I finally got my computer back up and running, but have yet to get the sims…I seem to have misplaced my CD cover and with it the serial number. I wanted to say great job as usual Jen and that I’ll keep on working on my silly (to be kind) computer until I can play again!
