Welcome to Whimsett Cove Elementary School!
(That first pic was taken a few days before the subsequent pics, so the trees don’t look as scraggly there!)
The back of the school:
(You can see a dusting of early snow on the roof and in the grass!)
The new part of the school, the room with the funky windows, was added just last year, and the whole interior of the school was renovated at the same time. The main building was the first schoolhouse in Whimsett Cove.
Here’s the soccer field, which is a separate community lot, but is considered an extension of the school by the townsfolk:
(It’s too bad the flagpole atop the tower of the school disappears when I get too far away! :( )
Inside the front hallway of the school, we have the door to the teacher’s office (Ms. Desmond acts as both the main teacher of the school and the principal, since it’s such a small district!), a display of awards and historical items, and the rabbithole rug, heh. Now Lexie HAS to go to school! ;)
Here’s the main classroom:
As you can see in the above pic, the students are learning about Sandy Valley this week. :-D
On the first floor there’s also a bathroom and a little space for hanging up coats and stuff, but I didn’t get pics of those.
Up the stairs there’s another bathroom and a little computer area:
There’s also a large art room:
I made three of my Sims paint for days in order to create all of the paintings that I hung on the walls, those poor things. :-D
Here’s Lucas being chained to an easel and forced to paint…
I thought the picture he painted was kind of apt, considering his family history…I imagined he was painting himself and his dad, but with the heart in the middle, maybe not? Anyway, I like that the stick figures have plumbobs! :-)
Another pic of the art room…it’s a bit plain, but I do like the monster painting in the back! I’ve seen that one before but forgot it existed (clearly I don’t play enough!).
Is it just me, or does the Faux Ardahkt tree from Supernatural look a bit weird in the fall?? ;-P
I ended up replacing it with the Red Oak tree from Pets because it weirded me out so much.
Lexie playtested my soccer field…go Lexie!
But then it started to rain (man, fall is a RAINY season!), so she opened her umbrella and ran into the school.
(Actually, she was going to run home, but I made her go to the school instead…I wanted her to playtest some other stuff. Hee.)
One last shot of the school:
That’s it for now! Thanks for reading, and Happy Simming!
I wish I had the energy and skill to build my own town. This looks like so much fun and I love how you decorate everything. I haven’t played in about a week but now I feel the desire to start the game up again.
Thank you, Kelsey! :) I just read and enjoyed the last couple of posts on your blog! I’ll have to go back and catch up on the previous posts sometime. :) Hope you’re having fun playing!
Wow… just wow! Such a shame Whimsett Cove wasn’t a real place, because I would be moving there in a heartbeat. Man, that tree… evil-looking!
LOL, it does look a bit evil, doesn’t it? Thanks for your sweet comment, Scally! :-D It’s so cool of you to visit my blog even though you don’t play Sims 3. :)
It’s so wonderful to see Coralyn and Lexie again <3 Lemon makes such a cute toddler :D And Lexie has the BEST watermelon (my favourite melon!) themed room! Ohhh, and the kitchen… I love that kitchen!
The school is just so awesome! It's such a beautiful and simple building, and the inside is just bursting with life! Ooooh and I still have plans to steal your idea of having a football field next to the school! Oooh, and great idea to "fence in" the playground items like that. I'll steal that too *nods*
Thanks so much, Sara-love! Watermelon is my favorite melon, too! :-D
I will never not swoon over your pictures.
Aww, thank you, Dee-dear! *hugs*
Awww… I loved these! Coralyn and Lexie (and Shadow!) have such a gorgeous home. So cosy! And such a lovely garden… *sigh*
I’m completely in love with your school! The building is amazing, and so realistic! I’m always blown away by your soccer field! The classrooms are soooooo, sooooo cute! I’ve already told you this, but I’ll keep these in mind when I’ll redo my school! *heart*
The art classrom is particulary adorable with the paintings as fruits/flowers on the trees. *sigh*
SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
Thank you, Sandy-sweet! *smooch* Your school was a huge inspiration to me! :-D
Waow !
I really love your posts, your photos ! You have a great univers, beautiful houses and decoration !
I come here on the site to see if there’s some news… like every day ! :-)
Keep going. And happy simming. :P
