Back on Dry Land

Hey guys! Thanks for all of the comments while I was on vacation. I had a nice time away but I have to admit I got a little homesick! I think some of that was internet and Sims withdrawal, crazy as that may sound. Anyway, I finally got back tonight (after spending 12 hours in transit, oy) and plan on catching up with my Sims very soon. I’m hoping I’ll be able to post an update sometime tomorrow! Also, I’ve decided that since I only have three weeks to reach generation 10 of my Legacy Challenge family, I’m going to put my Legacy family satellite houses on hold for now. I can always go back to them later and catch everyone up. It just won’t be as cool as if I had aged them all together. But I’m really eager to finish the challenge, so that’s how it’s gotta be.

OK, off to rest and do laundry and all that good stuff. See you soon!

  1. I’m so glad you’re back Jen! We’ve missed you around here. I hope you had a great time, although I’m sure you did! You’re so lucky to go off on a cruise like that. I’ve yet to do that. Get your rest so you can have a great update for us tomorrow, Lol. Welcome back!

  2. I’m so glad you’re finally back, Jen! I missed your updates while you were gone… :P Hope you had a smooth and relaxing trip! If only I could go cruising!

To think I still have seven more generations to go in three weeks… -sigh- Nut I’m still going to continue the challenge even after the University comes out.

  3. So glad you’re back Jen! I live for the updates on the lj legacy-challenge communities and on blogs like yours.

I’m actually WANTING to do most of the challenge with university because then I can send my sim-kids to college and have the plastic surgery item in my home! I even devised a special greenhouse to put the cow plant once I get it.

  4. Welcome back, Jen! I hope you’re well rested after a long and fun-filled vacation. Like the others, I’ve missed you, too! :) Three weeks, huh? It only seemed like yesterday… Can’t wait to read your next update!

  5. Welcome back Jen. It’s great to know you enjoyed your vacation and survived a week w/o Sims and Internet. I am really looking forward to your update.
Question: Does that mean no Aunt Marie House update or Shaney Cottage update?
If it does, no biggy. I know you want to finish the Challenge and I know you can do it.
Anyhoo…. I missed Jen and glad to have you back. :)

  6. Thanks everyone, I’m glad to be back! I played my Legacy family for several hours yesterday but didn’t have time to post my update, so I plan to do it tonight. I’m also trying to get caught up on other blogs, but it’s slow-going. There’s just so much good stuff out there!

Hi Mary, to answer your question — you are right, that means I won’t be playing or posting about Aunt Maire’s and the Shanley Cottage until after I’ve reached 10th gen with my main Legacy family. I hate to do it that way but I’ve been trying to play it the “official” way as much as possible, so I want to stick to the deadline that Pinstar originally gave us. Also, I think it’d be cool to send my 10th gen heir to college in my first college bunch when the expansion comes out. :-) I guess we’ll see how it goes!
