Late Night – New CAS Stuff

Late Night CAS

All righty, now for the new clothing and hair in the Late Night expansion…

Meet my male models – Alex, Marcus, Troy, and Richie. After each picture, I’ll list the new Late Night items they’re wearing.

Late Night CAS
Alex: Shirt with blazer, faded jeans, lace-up dress shoes, wristband
Marcus: Shirt with vest and dog tag, ripped jeans, two-tone shoes
Troy: Sweater vest with jacket, lace-up casual shoes
Richie: Shirt with scarf, faded jeans in black, loafers

NOTE: The scarf and dog tag are part of the outfit; they are not accessories.

Late Night CAS
Alex: Shirt with jacket, faded jeans in white, loafers #2, sunglasses
Marcus: Button shirt with jacket, two-tone shoes
Troy: Shirt/hoodie/blazer combo, pointy dress shoes
Richie: Button shirt, faded jeans in black, loafers

Late Night CAS
Alex: Muscle tee-shirt
Marcus: Industrial vest
Troy: Shirt and skinny tie
Richie: Blazer with scarf (not an accessory)

And Alex is wearing the only new thing in the “whole outfit” category for guys. He looks a little annoyed, like he’s wondering why I made him dress in a grungy hobbit vest and oil-soaked jeans.

All of the above clothes can be found in Everyday, and most of them overlap with Formal as well. Some, like the muscle tee, also show up in Sleep and Athletic wear.

Now for the new men’s hairstyles:

There are two new facial hairs as well – a more subtle stubble (which Troy is wearing in the above pics) and a long, thick goatee, seen below:

Moving right along to women’s CAS items, which are slightly more numerous than the men’s. My models this evening are Myrna, Latasha, Aimee, and Gretchen.

Late Night CAS
Myrna: Fancy necklace, strapless top, short shorts, sparkly bangle, widestrap heels
Latasha: Choker, corset top, skirt with ruffle, wedge-heel boots
Aimee: Sunglasses, asymmetrical top, denim miniskirt, futuristic wedge heels
Gretchen: peekaboo top, ruched miniskirt, glittery heels, sparkly bangle

Late Night CAS
Myrna: Rhinestone-strap tank top, panel miniskirt, glittery heels
Latasha: Fancy necklace, leather jacket with top, skirt with ruffle, wedge-heel boots
Aimee: Sunglasses, industrial corset, short shorts, heels with weird fabric around the ankles
Gretchen: Corset with sheer sleeves, base game skirt with new pattern, cutout heels

Late Night CAS
Myrna: Fancy necklace, halter dress, sparkly bangle, wide-strap heels
Latasha: Fancy necklace, top with bolero jacket, skirt with ruffle, wedge-heel boots
Aimee: Sunglasses, crisscross choker, asymmetrical wrap dress, weird heels again
Gretchen: Wavy line dress, wrap heels

Late Night CAS
Myrna: Strapless dress with ruffle, tri-tone t-strap heels
Latasha: Crisscross choker, strapless minidress, wide-strap heels
Aimee: Sunglasses, strapless wrap dress, wrap heels
Gretchen: One-strap formal dress

Late Night CAS
Myrna: Asymmetrical tie dress, tri-tone t-strap heels
Latasha: Bandeau bikini top, lowcut bikini bottoms (also in Sleepwear)

Gretchen: Lowcut one-piece swimsuit

The corsets can also be found in Sleepwear and look nice as lingerie (with base game bottoms recolored to match).

There are also garters in accessories, which I didn’t see until later, so I have a shot of left and right garters that look good with the thigh-high pantyhose, and then a shot of a single right garter.

Some close-ups of the women’s hairstyles:

There are no new clothing or hairstyles for toddlers, children, teens, or elders. However, teens and elders can wear the new sunglasses and bracelets/wristbands, and elders can also wear the garters. I hope they come out with a more family-oriented set soon, because our kids and teens are very much neglected in the clothing department! Elders could use some love, too.

Here’s one last pic showing my guys in their swimsuits so you can see the muscle definition slider in action.

Late Night CAS

As for the rest of CAS, I did not see any new make-up or face features (like freckles, etc.). It’s too bad, since some fancy new make-up would have gone well with the party/celebrity theme of Late Night. Ah well, there’s a ton of good CC make-up out there, we can use that. ;)

  1. Thank you for the CAS look! I’m really surprised I like the female hair with the cornrows in the front. Most of the cornrow hair they’ve done I haven’t been too fond of, but this one looks awesome. :)

  2. *blinks* why? whywhywhy the thick goatee is skeeery!!!

thanks Jenba *hugs* they look awesome! erm.. except the goatee. *shudders*

    • I still have to take all the pictures, edit them, and write up the post. Unfortunately I am busy Thursday and Friday, so Saturday is probably the earliest I’ll have it posted.

  3. I ♥ your blog so much. I always look forward to your updates. Thank you so much. I don’t know what the community would do without you. :D

  4. Is it just me, or does there not seem to be too much in the new packs? It could be me, I think, considering the fact that I spent most of yesterday and last night playing “let’s reinstall the stupid game so it realizes it is patched, etc” game before finally giving up, and swearing off (and at) the Sims 3, and deciding I hate EAXIS. Seriously, their technical help is useless. Nice pics, though, Jen!

    • Ugh, sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the patch. EA really does have horrible customer service. :-/ If you feel up to trying to get it to work again, I bet you could find help over at MTS…they have a pretty useful tech help section.

  5. What do you think about the new gameplay stuff, Jen (or have you not had much chance to play yet)? I feel so sad because so far, none of the expansions for Sims 3 have wowed me or made me want to buy them (I only own Ambitions, and even though it isn’t too bad, I’m glad I didn’t pay my own money for it). This expansion doesn’t interest me much either, aside from the musical instruments, since I am not interested in the celebrity or vampire stuff.

If they’d just give me my pets and weather already! :(

    • Hey Audrey! I haven’t had a chance to really play around with Late Night yet. I did make a Sim who became a Level 3 celebrity and explored some of the clubs, but I haven’t done anything with bands, vamps, or mixology. It seems like a fun EP but I wonder about replay value. They always go halfway with these things. Would it have been so hard to add chemistry and dates? Real restaurants? It just feels half-assed compared to Sims 2 Night Life, you know? But that’s how Ambitions and WA felt to me, too. Great ideas but not up to their full potential. But maybe I’ll change my mind as I play more Late Night. And I’m with you on weather! I wasn’t crazy about how they implemented Pets in TS2, so if they do it for TS3, I’d like something different, but I do hope they give us our critters again at some point.
