Hello, all! Mt. Geneva’s gossiping ghost here with an update on the Blakemore family. Perhaps more than one update, when all is said and done! Life moves so quickly in SimNation that’s hard to keep up sometimes.
When we last left Tess and her daughter Ferris, they had just suffered a bout of horrible misfortune — burglary, fire, cockroach infestation, an empty fridge, you name it. Tess hit a real low point after that and decided to concentrate on getting a promotion at work instead of partying every night. She wanted a better life for little Ferris. And good for her, I say!
Thankfully all of her hard work paid off! Not only was Tess promoted to Sales at Happy Lawn, Inc., but she received a huge bonus check. With this extra money, she was able to buy a sparkling new dollhouse for Ferris.
Ferris was ecstatic over her new dollhouse and invited her friend Brittany Parker over to see it. They also loved to sit on the living room floor and play Mary Mack.
Ferris’s mood was so much improved that she was more diligent about completing homework, and as a result received excellent grades in school! Things were looking up, indeed.
It wasn’t long before Ferris’s birthday rolled around. Tess threw a little party for Ferris and even baked her a cake.
Ferris became a lovely young woman! She enjoyed her birthday party to the fullest and danced into the wee hours of the morning, even though she started high school the next day.
After school, Ferris brought her new friend Ricky home for dinner. Ferris talked to him about getting an after-school job, and he suggested she look in the paper. Unfortunately she didn’t find anything that interested her, but she thanked Ricky for the idea.
The next day Ferris’s friend Meadow stopped by for a visit. She had a job at school as a team mascot and hadn’t gone home to change out of her llama suit. Ferris asked her if she knew of any good job opportunities. Meadow thought for awhile and said, “Oh! Our football team is looking for a waterboy. Or girl. Or whatever. What do you think?”
Ferris thought that sounded perfect. The next day she got the job! She was so thrilled to be bringing some money into the household. Yes, the Blakemores seemed to be on the upswing, with the trauma of their past nothing but a faint memory. How long will it last, I wonder?
awww… that’s so sweet!!! i knew the Blakemores could work it all out by themselves. yay!
Oh, no, Maude! You’re hearkening doom again, aren’t you. That last sentence made me nervous.
Anyway, I’m so glad to see good things happening for Tess and Ferris. :)
YAY, more teens. They are often fun to play with. Muhahahaha…watch out for them sneaking out of the house.
I stumbled over your Sims stories just by clicking accidentally on a link and I got stuck with all your little picture stories. It’s neat to see that you really put some thought in all what’s happening. Please keep it up, you’ve got a couple of eager readers! :)
OH! Do teens sneak out of the house on their own? When do you get the opportunity to sneak out? When their mood is low? I have a handful of teens in my neighborhood (haven’t played them yet) and I’m curious. I made myself into a teen in a recreation of my own family. I can’t wait to see what I will do next! LOL
Ludwig, thanks for your comment! If you like Sims stories, make sure you check out the other Sims 2 blogs in my links. They’re all great fun!
Chattykathy—>Sims do sneak out…but you control it. I do believe if it is past 10 p.m. they can do sneak out via the phone and go. Or, they can get a call from one of their friends and you can say yes or no. They come by at like 12 a.m. or 1 a.m. to pick ya up.
