I am slowly working my way back to Sims-blogging again; I even spent the better part of a day this past weekend working on a new update! I’m very excited about it — I’m doing Paige’s Westward Ho! Challenge with a bit of a twist or two.
As for my other stories, the Ravelos are on hold for now. I had a bunch of pictures all ready to go, but that was over a month ago, and I’m not ready to dive back into their story just yet. I need to get my feet wet first (hence the new challenge). I’m missing my Annabel Island folks terribly, but they’re still on hold while I await a fix for the crashing problem I’ve been experiencing on my regular Sims account. It has to do with my Nvidia card + Open for Business + too many downloads and may never be resolved, sadly. Who knows? But I’m waiting just in case. I don’t want to get rid of Annabel Island or rebuild the whole thing, so they’re in a kind of stasis right now.
Because I’m playing the Westward Ho! Challenge on my “clean” Sims account, I can’t go too download-crazy with the western/Victorian stuff, so the custom content will be a bit sparse. Well, perhaps not sparse, but not as abundant as in my Annabel Island stories. I went on a little downloading spree over the weekend, so I hope you guys aren’t sick of Victorian stuff yet. I never seem to tire of it. Hee.
Also, I’ve been detached from the Sims blogging world for so long that I’m quite behind on everyone else’s blogs, too. I’ll be trying to catch up in the next couple of weeks! I was thrilled to see that one of my favorite bloggers, Eva M., is back with a new Legacy and a new blog, Pasota Hills. Welcome back, Eva! (I tried to leave a comment on your new blog — let me know if it didn’t go through).
Thanks again to everyone for hanging around this long! Look for an update here in the very near future.
Ooooh! Exciting!
I can’t wait for your next story, Jen!
Yaaaaay! Welcome back! :D
There’s another challenge you could play with minimum downloads, by the way:

Heyho, nice to hear from you! And nope, no comment arrived on my site, but that’s okay, I can live with that ;). I’m playing that Mendoza-Family a little bit at minutes of the day, but I’m not yet ‘ready’ to fully start posting those giant entries and such, so you’ll probably have to be a tiny bit patient there ;). And wow, you make me blush calling me one of your favorite bloggers, that’s very sweet of you! So let’s see, whatever you do is perfect, so we’ll be waiting for your next new adventure with a lot of excitement!
I’m glad to hear you’re alive! I’m excited to read whatever you have for us!
Absolutely, I can’t wait for the next update. I like Paige’s idea for the challenge and I was thrilled to see that you would try it. I would but since my computer is slow, making that much families just isn’t something I wanna go through. Haha. I’m sad that Annabel Island may never be anymore..they were amazing. And speaking of returned bloggers, Kara with Confessions of a Simmer is back. She is the one who turned me on to you in the first place and she has a new story with hot elf people and its amazing. I think you should check it out in your spare time sometime.
@ Eva: Yep, I was totally thrilled to see Kara back! For me, her blog was the one where I first found the link to Jen ;)
Yo…uh…
You guys may not remember me, but I was around for a while before.
After a break from Simming (a little long, huh?) I’ve decided to return to my Sims. I’m sticking with regular families for the moment, I’m giving up on the Legacy Challenge for a while, it’s just to frantic.
Till then, this Westward Ho! challenge sound great! Just my kinda thang. Anyway, feel free to check out my blog, where I shall hope to have some updates on there on the next few days.
I’m looking forward to seeing your Westward Ho! stories, Jen. I saw Paige’s challenge at her site and it really intrigued me. I’ll have to live vicariously through you though as I don’t have time to do it myself. ;)
Yay Jen! I’m so glad to see you are still happily simming away! I can’t wait to see your upcoming update, as I’m sure we all are!
Hi Jen. Looking forward to seeing you updating again. I’ve always loved your stories. I hope you don’t mind if I add you to my links list. I’ve started my very first blog, and I’m posting about my Prosperity Challenge. It seemed a bit lonely without any links on it! Hope all is well with you.
Hey Jen! Glad you’re still here! And guess what? So am I! =) I’ve decided to make a fresh start over at my blog, since it’s definitely needing it. Well, I’ve explained the whole thing over there, no need for a repeat over here.
I can’t wait to see what this new challenge is all about. I’m sure you’ll do a fantastic job with it! Well, good luck! And welcome back, Jen.
I normally stick to lurking, but I just had to express my joy at you giving another “storyline” driven challenge a shot. The Westward Ho! Challenge sounds amazing and I can’t wait to see what you come up with… I’m a sucker for historical things (don’t even get me started on my love for the Royal Kingdom Challenge) and adding that to your style, I’m sure it’ll be great to read. I just hope you can find as much fun in playing it as people get from reading it. :) Frustration and stress from a game is no fun!
Hey guys. It’s taking me longer than I thought it would to get the Westward Ho challenge going. I’ve created 14 families and at least 12 buildings, whew. I have a few more lots to create, but I’m almost ready for storytime. Thanks for continuing to check my increasingly sad-looking site!
Kay – I had heard about the Asylum Challenge but never read the rules — wow! That looks like a hoot. I might have to try it sometime.
Eva M – So my comment didn’t show up? Ah well. I’ll have to try again. I love the start to your challenge and hope you keep going!
Eva – Hi there! I did check out Kara’s site again. Awesome stuff! Her pictures are amazing.
Alex – I remember you! I checked out your blog and left a comment. I can’t wait to see what stories you post, whether it be the Westward Ho challenge or something else that interests you. Welcome to the blogging world!
Mandie – Hi and thanks! I checked out your blog – it looks great so far!
Jessica – Yay, Jessica! Glad you’re blogging again. I’m looking forward to your stories. Your Destiny at Heart story was awesome.
Mao – HEY! I’ve missed you and your blog. Thanks for leaving a comment. I love the Royal Kingdom Challenge, too. I need about 20 extra hours in my day so I can play all of these challenges. Not. Enough. Time! So when are you going to start blogging again, hmmm? :-D
And here’s a *wave* to Amalinaball, Katie, Kara, and Paige! Thanks for the encouragement!
Glad to see you’re still alive Jen! Can’t wait for another another story – New or Old – you have me completely hooked. Hope life is treating you well.
Amy
Yay a Jen! And I hear you on the Westward Ho Challenge — it’s waaaay too big for me, I’d have a brainspaz. I’ve come to the conclusion that the most families I can play in a Challenge is five. Any more than that and I just get distracted -> bored, unfortunately. :/
Are you gonna get Glamour when it comes out?
July 27th is when Maxis is supposed to update the official website with Pets info, by the way. That’s straight from MaxoidDon’s mouth. :D
Hey Jen! Glad to hear you’re still there! Thanks for checking out my site. I had a major bug (thanks to Family Fun Stuff) and had to uninstall and reinstall all my EPs! So I know your pain! I had to start my challenge all over! But on the bright side, I really like these new families and I’m having a great time! So stop by to see the new residents of Fortune Shores in action! I can’t wait till you update!
Jen, it is great to see that you are still plugging along with your sims (I’m sorry to hear about all the problems you have had lately). I really hope you will post a story about your Westward ‘Ho challenge (I always love your time period stories). I also wanted to let you know that I am back to updating my blog and just started a new legacy family. (Hopefully with my new computer, I won’t keep having problems with my game.)
Hi Jen, just to let you know I am creating another blog because I can’t use my blogger account due to not being able to remember my account name, so I am going to make another blog on blogsome! You might need to delete the link to my Foxdale Stories blog aswell, well see you around!
:) Dave
