So there I was, suffering rejection, feeling like a complete jerk, having the worst semester of my college career, and this stupid idiot COW mascot showed up. He just invited himself into our townhouse and started harassing Marlee. She told him to go chew on his cud.
Instead of wandering off to a pasture somewhere, the cow went downstairs to bug Trent for a bit. I don’t think Trent was too happy when the cow beat him at SSX3. Several times. In a row.
I had my own run-in with our bovine friend outside. I was just minding my own business, practicing some cool kicky bag moves, when he came up to me and just shoved me for no reason. He also called me a few names that I won’t repeat. Well, I was still pretty upset over Christy’s rejection, so I didn’t handle it very well. Trent finally told the guy off and made him leave, but I have a feeling we’ll see him again.
To cheer me up, Trent asked me if I wanted to play some chess. I thought that was pretty weird, since Trent’s idea of a good time usually involves a screen and a game controller. But he’s been doing more “grown-up” things lately, so I guess this chess game was a part of that.
I wasn’t really enjoying the chess, though, so he suggested we all go out to dinner. We woke up Marlee and dragged her in her pajamas to Bernard’s Botanical Dining, which is Trent’s favorite place to eat. While we were all deciding what to order, Trent got a funny look on his face, then leaned over and said quietly, “Don’t look now, but my girlfriend is right over there.”
I’m sure Marlee’s told you all about his mystery girlfriend, right? We’d been wondering who this chick was since first semester of freshman year! So how could I not look? I glanced around the restaurant, but the only other woman in our vicinity was Professor Kauker, who taught us last year. There was no way Trent was dating a prof.
“I don’t see anyone, Trent,” I said, “unless she’s a cactus or a flowering shrub.”
Trent ordered hamburgers for everyone so we wouldn’t ring up too big of a bill, and we talked about other subjects while we ate. I drank way too much water, so I had to run to the bathroom, and when I came back out, I saw Marlee shaking hands with Professor Kauker. Trent was standing by with the most ridiculous look on his face — the look of adoration. So he really WAS dating our prof! Can you believe it? That sly fox.
Professor Kauker, or should I say, Tristen, since that’s what she wants to be called now that she’s dating our brother, remembered me from first semester of our freshman year, even though we were in a huge lecture hall. “Hey, you were the guy that fell asleep and drooled all over his exam,” she said.
I shook my head, because I would never do such a thing, but she kept insisting that it was me. She’s a nice lady, though, and she did give me an “A”, so I can forgive her for being a little confused.
Besides, she and Trent look great together. They DO have chemistry. You could feel it.
I guess since she’s not our professor anymore, Trent can date her more openly, but I wonder why he took so long to tell us about it? I think he’s just a very private guy when it comes to stuff like that. He’s just not private when it comes to, say, getting into a hot tub completely naked.
After we all chatted for a bit, we decided to get our pictures taken in the photo booth there. You’ll have to see them when you come to visit. Trent took one with Tristen, and they look sickeningly cute.
I took mine with Marlee, and I think ours is pretty cool, too.
Well, that’s it for our sophomore year. I have a feeling junior year is going to be pretty wild. I already feel like changing my major. Maybe more than once. Hope you guys are having fun with all of those kids — give them all noogies from me.

Awww poor Ethan getting rejected by that girl with the braids (whats her name again?). And Trent and Tristen goi together so well, even their names match! Have you chosen an heir yet, are you going to have it like that in this legacy? I hope the heir is Trent, Im sure he and Tristen would make lovely looking kids!

Wow, that was F-U-N-N-Y. I love Trent on the treadmill. he’s so weird. You’ve made these three offspring so interesting, that I want to read about their whole lives, not just the legacy heir. Thanks again for entertaining me and my kids. :)

Great update Jen! (as always) I really am loving this new family you have. The YA are so funny and you give them all such great and special personalities. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that the boys are quite good-looking for computer characters. ;) I hope Ethan finds someone to love, he seems lonely.
Trent on the treadmill is so funny! I love the nightlife photo booth pictures. (I don’t know if I can wait until Christmas to get Nightlife!) Poor Ethan. I hope he finds someone to go bowling with him.

You really put character into these sims. @.@ Moreso than any of your other sim stories, I must say. Perhaps it is because you are writing in first person? In the Braytons, none of the characters seemed to have distinguishing personalities.. *thinkthink* but,

Okay now I’m really trying me best not to fill up my downloads folder this time around and to keep it more managable. So the round window were Ethan and Trent are playing chess… it’s not Maxis right, unless I’ve passed it in the windows category? So where can I pick one up?
Well I need to go buy my 5’8″ 13 yr old son some new pants ….. I hope to play my Theory family soon and post another chapter especially since Calypso just became a teenager last night :D

Hi everyone, thanks a ton for the comments. I hope you guys aren’t getting sick of the letters, since we have a few more to go. ;-) They’re making the college years a lot more fun to play, oddly enough.
PRMami – The townhouse is actually a Maxis lot that came with Nightlife — I just put in some more furniture and changed/added windows (they were a horrible mustardy brown color before :yuck:). The round window was created by Windkeeper and is available at The Sims Resource. I don’t think it’s in the free section at the moment, but it might rotate in there at some point! All of Windkeeper’s stuff is great and worth downloading.
