Hey everyone, just wanted to let you know that I’ve mostly moved into the new place, but my internet connection isn’t working yet. *weeps* The cable guy is coming out on THURSDAY (ugh) to check it out; until then, I can only get online from work. I’m working on another Brayton update and hope to have the Shanleys ready to go by the end of this week. However, I will be horribly behind on everyone else’s blogs. My apologies. I’m starting a new job next week and training someone how to do my current job, which leaves little time for web-slacking during the day, unfortunately. ;-) Yeah, my life is pretty much chaos right now. Hopefully the dust will settle soon and I’ll be back to posting on a regular basis. Until then, thanks for reading, and Happy Simming!
Hi Jen, god luck with the new job ; )
Hi! I just caught up on your blog, and thought I’d drop a note. I hope the move goes well. :-)
Also, I saw something on TSR that reminded me of you… an old fashioned phonograph machine that works as a radio.
I don’tk now if that’s the right era for you or not, or if you have an account at TSR or not, but here’s the link:

Hey Jen! That’s great that you’re mostly moved in! Sorry though about your internet thing. Well, in other news:
Serendipity Sims is finally up, so if you want to check that out, the URL is: http://www.serendipity.exlibrisbitsy.com. :-)
Well have fun with everything!
Sad for us…Happy for you! :)
Yo Jen, Hope moving wasn’t hetic! I wish you luck with your troubles! Just remember to have Fun, ok?
Happy Simming
Hi Jen. Wow, new house and new job, you are taking on a lot. Well i hope your house moving days are over and i’m glad you’re almost done with the move. Good luck in the new job and in training the replacement for your current job.
I miss your updates but i’m so happy for you and will alway wait patiently.
Happy Simming and have a great week.
Wow, you cetainly are busy at the moment – I am, kinda, because my room’s being painted and new carpet and stuff and I have to look after E-Liz Junior all the time. ARGH!
E-Liz :)
Hey guys! Quick question.
Do you know of any way to actually get rid of money, kinda fast? Like 39000 simoleans of it? I was playing and experienced my first sim death…and its nice insurance reward. However, I thought my computer was being weird because it did not register right away so I used the cheat to get me how much I was supposed to get in the first place. Except then, after seven oclock, I got the money. So, now I have too much money and I really do not want to cheat with this family. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?
Vivi –> Maybe you can try to refurnish the house or rebuild it. Almost the same thing happened to me: I had been playing with one of my families and a sim got home from work. She usually recieves 560 simoleans and that day she didn’t get any money (and never got it). This happened also when a sim had moved into my legacy house and he brought 1000 simoleans. My sims never saw that money…
Jen –> Wow, what a slow internet company you have (talking about that guy that is coming Thursday), not that my is fast (once my internet had broke down and I called the repair service on Monday, the guy that told me he would come, came on Friday…). Good luck with your new job. I hope there will be more of that teenage angst in the next update ;)
Vivi – I’ve had that happen to me too, the only real way out of it is to SimPE or similar editor. Possibly (it’ll be slower) you could put out tons of the fanciest flooring and/or make walls with the fanciest wallpaper, then remove those, put them out again and repeat until your money sum is what it ought to be. Since the game automatically deducts 1 of the price of each slot between placing and removal (i.e a rug that costs 4 simoleons will give you back 3 when deleted) it’ll work. Even more efficient if you put a wall, put the fanciest wallpaper on it and just delete the wall without removing the ‘paper first.
Thanks for your suggestions guys! Kay, (btw is the name of my legacy founder) can you tell me more about the SimPE?
Jen — I will keep on staring at this site until one day…a new update exists! I know the “Short Hiatus” message will go away and in its place a butiful prettiful picture! Hehe
Hi. Long time reader, finally posting for the first time. I love reading about the Shanleys and Braytons. I admit I didn’t start reading until you were already done with the challenge, cause that’s about when I found it. But I’ve gone back and read through, and I enjoy it.
Okay sorry I should do this else where, but how do I get my Sims pictures onto my computer so that I can post them with my blog.?
Hi Marcie, thanks for your comment! About your Sims pictures, you can find them on your computer under My Documents –> EA Games –> The Sims 2 –> Neighborhoods –> (the neighborhood you took the pics in) –> Storytelling. From there, you can edit or rename the pics. As for posting them on your blog, it depends on the blogging program you’re using. I use WordPress and host my own pictures on my webspace. If you don’t have your own webspace, you can use something like Photobucket to store your pics on the web. You might want to join the SimScribes forum as well; there are some very knowledgeable people on there who might be able to answer questions. Although it has been a little quiet there lately, so it might take awhile before you get a response. Good luck!
