Holy moly, can you believe we’ve been playing The Sims for ten years? This video, which I found via The Sim Supply, made me super nostalgic. Thought maybe you guys would enjoy it, too.

Oh yes you’re right Jen ;) – thanks for this video! Especially having that Sims1 music in the background, wow, how nostalgic!! Haven’t played Sims1 in ages, although I had almost all expansion packs for it. Sims accompanied me all throughout my teenage-times, began playing with 13, and now look how old we’ve all grown *lol*
Wow, you started playing the Sims at such a young age! I was 27, heh. I feel ooold… :-) Yeah, I had forgotten about that Sims 1 music. And to think I probably listened to it a few hours a day for something like 4 years!
Yes, makes me actually kinda sort miss playing The Sims. Granted, I don’t think I could ever go back to it simply because of the graphics. Very nice anniversary video. Although, that was kind of sneaky of them to throw in a plug for “New Moon” at the end. :Op
Is that what that was? LOL. I thought it was some random machinima someone made. Did they make it? Why were they plugging New Moon? I am so out of the loop…
This definitely makes me feel nostalgic. I got a new computer from Gateway back in May of 2000, and the Sims came in Gateway’s “family game pack” one of 4 games. Ages of Empires was also in that pack. My daughter was born in March and I used to sit at the computer to play Sims with one had while holding her in the other.
Ten years later, my daughter has been playing Sims 2/Sim 3 for over a year now and my husband and I have both beat Ages of Empires 3 several times.
Crazy! I still remember that first preview video of The Sims. I knew I wanted that game, LOL!
OMG, this makes me feel so old. LOL I’ve been playing since 2000. And I can still remember the first time I saw the game at Toys R Us, I knew I had to get it then. Has it really been that long? Wow. Makes me want to install Sims 1 again, just to relive some of the awesomeness that it was.
