I had so much fun with my ISBI family tonight that I didn’t want to stop playing. Woo! It’s past midnight now, so I don’t have time for a full update, but I’ll give you guys a sneak preview.
Meet Melody Wines of Northcliff:
I forgot to write down her stats, but she’s mainly Outgoing and Nice, with average Neatness and Activeness. She’s also rather Serious. Her aspiration is Popularity, which I usually hate, but I wanted to try something different. It’s working pretty well so far!

For the ISBI challenge you can build on any size lot you want, so I chose a 4 X 3. I wanted to have enough money to build something halfways decent. No concrete slabs for me this time!

Eee! Wow she’s pretty. She looks a bit like some of the Ravelo girls too, is that intentional? The cat’s eyes and cheekbones, and something with the mouth. :D

Anyway, she’s really pretty. And I have to agree with Kay, the house is gorgeous. If it was up for download, I’d have it in a flash! :)

Kay – She does look a bit like the Ravelos — d’oh! I created her from scratch but apparently I’m drawn to the same sorts of facial features over and over again. Heh.
Kay and amalinaball – I would be glad to put the house up for download, except that it contains some custom content that is not redistributable. If I made a Maxis-only version, would you guys still want it? I’d have to get rid of the door (which you can get at Holy Simoly) and the picture window (from TSR, which is a paysite). Also some of the wallpapers. And I have that darned Family Fun Stuff installed — would that mess it up?

I have Family Fun Stuff installed, so it wouldn’t be a problem. A Maxis-only version would be superb, I would be very grateful. Of course, don’t if it would be too much trouble. :)
As for the aspiration…either some kind of wacko grilled-cheese-maniac Popularity sim with a totally messed-up aspiration or…
A Hot-Dog-Saleswoman – the Average Woman looking for a job as an entrepenour in fastfood! ;) She’ll lull potential buddies into her house with the smell of mustard and weeners! Muhaha! That’s a point – ‘twenty best friends’ maybe? Hmm…

Hooray! Jen got bit by the ISBI bug (again)! It really is a lot of fun and helped coax me back into The Sims 2 after I had become bored and bitter over my neighborhoods exploding on me.
Can’t wait for more. These blogs keep me from going through Sims 2 withdrawal while my computer is down. :D

I was just wondering Jen about Melody – would you mind if I asked for her? Not to play her the way she is exactly in game but to use her when I make new CAS sims.
That’s what I did when I have created my other Sims via CAS I used two sets of grandparents, to make the parents and then I finally get my founder or Prosperity Sim.
Since I’m getting really close to finishing up my Legacy because I have my poor Prosperity families on hold, I’m going to be offering once again my Legacy Sims born in game for anyone who would like them.
Just a thought. ;)
Very strange, a popularity sim with the 200 grilled cheese LTW. I’ve never had or heard of that happening. It might be pretty difficult, though. I’ve tried that before, and I got very peeved. But hopefully you’ll have more patience than me. ;-)
The ISBI Challenge is one of my favorites, and I really enjoyed it when I tried it. Unfortunately, I’m going through a touch of writer’s block as well, and I’ve been doing the OFB legacy challenge, though I have no motivation to write about it. I started an unfinished challenge on the Pleasantview neighborhood and uploaded the story to my simpage, but I lost the Broke family when my computer started freaking out. The point of me telling you all this? Just to let you know that someone else out there is going through the same thing that you were, and that its a very common thing.
Well, I’m sure you’ll have a blast with this one. It really is a lot of fun, and challenging which is always a plus. I’m glad you’re into something again, and I’m very excited to start reading your stuff again!
Unchained Melody! Jen! That’s Brilliant! And Grilled Cheese – what a fun aspiration. I’ve got a grilled cheese sim in one of my challenges (stirring the pot of curiosity) The house is adorable, and I agree, Melody is Ravelo-esque. I see there’s more so I’m off to read. But I love the initial title. “Unchained Melody” Loving it already.
I’d love to have that house, but it wouldn’t work for me if it had any content thats not from just the original game. At this moment I only play the game at a friends house who also has Family Fun Stuff (we bought it together) but I am going to get my own vrsion for home, and I don’t have any expension packs there.
So it would be great if you made a Maxis-only version, or a not-furnished version if the other one is to much work.
And Melody sure is pretty, although I wanted I had EP’s myself, I’m really wondering about the Grilled Cheese..
