More Houses on the Exchange

I’ve uploaded a few more of my houses to my lot page on the Sims Exchange. You will now be able to download Hancock House, Barnavelt House, Tewksbury House, and Willow View if you so desire. The only one I’ve actually run a family in is Willow View, so my usual caveat about functionality applies to the rest. Also, they are all unfurnished and unoccupied. Thanks for all of your feedback, and have fun Simming. :-)

Kilman Trailer

In the comments for Maude’s last entry, Kathy from Bringing Up Daysies asked if I had packaged the Kilman lot before Sid’s death. I said that I hadn’t, but tonight I discovered that I had — it was just before I moved the Kilmans in. So unfortunately I can’t re-run them or anything, but I decided to put the trailer up for download on my MySims page. I’m not sure anyone will want to download the house in which a tragic Sim death took place, but what the hey. It actually makes a great starter home and comes fully furnished with all the necessities for under 20,000 Simoleons.

Houses on the Exchange

I’ve uploaded Autumn House and Stonehaven to my MySim Page on the Sims 2 Exchange. They are both unfurnished and unoccupied. Let me know if the above link doesn’t work for you, or if you have any more questions about the lots. One caveat — I never played a family in either of them, so I didn’t test their functionality. I built them mostly for fun (which is why the upper floor of Stonehaven has really boring walls — I didn’t get around to decorating up there). I’ll probably upload the rest of my houses in the next few days. Thanks for your feedback, and enjoy the homes!

Autumn House

I was feeling fall-y today, so I decided to create a house that would have good views of autumn foliage. I only wish we had some good red and orange bushes like we had in Makin’ Magic. And some leaves to sprinkle on the ground. And a gnarled old tree or two. We’re just never happy, are we?

Stonehaven

Here’s another house loosely based on a plan from a house plans book. I enjoyed building this one, but I always seem to run out of steam when I get to the landscaping. Maybe I need to do the landscaping first next time. Otherwise I end up just plopping some trees down, and that’s about it.

Willow View

Here’s a more functional house I built for a family that I’m playing on and off. Usually I don’t use the money cheat for the families I actually play with, but I had specific plans for this one. For this one I wanted to create a very traditional, homey-looking house.

Tewksbury House

I built this for the Cuffys, who are one of my “feeder” families — families I create so that my main families will have secondary characters with which to interact. Since I don’t really play my feeder families, I feel free to use the money cheat and construct elaborate houses for them. :-)

This one was inspired by a plan in a house plans book of mine. I’m not so great at coming up with my own plans, so I have to steal them from other places. ;-) For some reason I ended up moving the Cuffy family into a different house (which will be in my next post), so Tewksbury House is currently empty.
